  1. When you're ready to put it up for sale, drop me a line! One fine looking fairway for sure.
  2. I too am really loving this driver. From the very first swing. If some of you remember I talked awhile ago about my distances and going down to lighter and less flex shaft in the GD Z9003. One thing I need to say is that my swing (setup basically) had become really off kilter the last couple years and I didn't realize that until just a couple weeks ago. I mean it got really off to the point that everything from putting to ball striking was affected. I won't get into the details of why this occured but suffice to say that when I did make this discovery and started to setup correctly my swing returned. However I had become so accustomed to the poor swing that once I made the correct one, it felt very foreign. So at present I'm working getting re-accustomed to my "correct" swing. Back to the T.388. I like everything about this club. It is long, but what I like better is its feel and setup. At first I wasn't hip on the flat black color but I'm liking that now too. It is a workable driver, but I don't think its to its detriment. What I mean is, it'll hit very straight as well. I would expect any type of golfer to be able to hit this unless of course one that is so used to a 460cc head that anything smaller just looks wrong. But, if a smaller head "looks" better to you than this could very well be the ticket. I do find this one of the easist drivers to hit. I would like to review this driver more up against the KPX and Yonex which I still have, but I want to give my swing a little more time to return fully. I'm still adjusting back to the "correct" feeling if you know what I mean. I really couldn't believe I could've ever gotten so off. I'm amazed that I was able to hit as well as I had. But that's golf and life. Sometimes life just interferes and golf has to take a back seat. I can say that I'm glad to be back golfing in a regular fashion again. The S-Yard simply is a great driver. I'm very happy to see a sub 400cc head make a return and be able to compete with the likes of any driver out there in terms of feel, distance and performance.

So can anyone else comment on these shafts? Peaking my interest as I'm considering these for the 909's I've got on order.
  4. What shafts are you playing in them?
  5. RI, I believe you've had the 901's in the past. Are the 909's as thin as the 901's? They definitely look to be an upgrade in the sole-turf interaction area for sure.
  6. Any chance of getting more pics of these? Just some sweet looking irons.
  7. The BOLD really stands out to me.
  8. Geotech definitely a great brand. Have the RF 700's in a 4 and 3 iron. Its not a cavity back nor is it a muscle. Described previously as a Neo-Muscle as it has a what appears to be a partial cavity but inside that is actually a muscle. Hard to describe in words, but it is a great club. My son who is left-handed, has a driver with a GeoTech shaft. Gocchin was able to hook me up with that and he hits it great. It was hard to spec right since he's 13, and is in that inbetween child-adult phase which is really hard to build, but the club just works. Nice thing about GT is that they make a lot of left handed options.
  9. I've used old Speeder 757 as well as the old Diamana blues in various utes. Always have done well with them. Current ute is shafted with the GD SF line which is a fairway wood shaft. That shaft is stellar.

Not having hit any but if I had to choose a 5 wood, it would be the new line from Romaro. They look really good.
  11. No I haven't but I was thinking along the same lines as that just a day or two ago. And, just to expand on that thought, there was time that these same specs just didn't suit me. Going heavier and stiffer fit the bill at that time. As the years have gone by I read about things such getting the lightest and least flex shaft one can handle. I think that's exactly what's going on here; that along with the fact that my swing has become much better with experience over the years. I think at some point I will order another Z9003 in same specs and swap out that shaft, just not now. The 3 wood with the P9 won't be changing anytime soon as that club is money. I do think the P9003x is an excellent shaft in a fairway wood. It really, really works.
  12. Yea, that's one shaft which hasn't made it to your shootout. But it's really a lot like the P9 series. Maybe with a tad more feel. But I'm really liking it in the driver. Still have the P9 in my 3 wood and that won't be changing as that club is perfect, but the Z series is definitely my go to now for a driver shaft.
  13. The AdiZero bags that is!!
  14. I REALLY love those bags.
  15. Graphite Design Z9003 Type6 in stiff. 45.25". 10.5 loft, 0.5 open. I absolutely love this shaft. Easy to shape left or right. Trajectory is mid-low which I prefer but I can hit high fades when necessary. Dispersion is quite tight. But judging from previous responses, I'm wondering what shaft WON'T work in this head. I did not have the stock shaft but rather had it built at S-Yard, so I can't comment on that. I will say it did not take any time at all to dial it right in. This combo just works and works very well. Previous drivers are the Yonex and KPX both having the P9003x in them. The S-Yard is superior to both. I can hit all three well but the nod goes to S-Yard for distance and workability. The Yonex is consistent gentle draw, the KPX is left most the time, but the S-Yard is workable to either side. I can't say how much longer the S-Yard is as I want some more time but I am back to hitting 260+ overall with a few approaching 290. The Z9003 series shafts offer in my opinion everything the P9003x did, but in more flexes and weights which should appeal to a lot more individuals. Its very much worth a try.
  16. I haven't tried the other lines of the 9003, only the P9003x. But the Z line is definitely low launch. Mind I went from the P9003x to the Z9003 type 6 in stiff. The trajectory is on the same lines as the P9003x. With this current driver (S-Yard) I'm able to work a couple different flights. Played a very tight course yesterday in which I had to shape a few shots. Was pretty much able to do that on command. Hit semi-high fades a on a couple holes, two very low and straight. A couple gentle draws. Overall, this shaft does pretty much everything the P9003x did for me. General, stock flight is a low-mid boring flight. The best thing is, is that's its lighter and the less flex is definitely helping me, but outside of the specs, I'm really getting the same flights I did as before. Carlo, I think you'll find that this shaft is worth a shot.
  17. The blades they make have been on my mind for quite some time. Romaro has really stepped it up over the past couple years. Their previous utility looked very, very good and if not the RC solidly in the bag, I'm sure the Romaro would've made an appearance. The looks of the woods are very nice indeed.
  18. I've dabbled with them from time to time, but probably like Jeff, just never really liked them as much as say a 17 degree hybrid. I can hit it low with a piercing trajectory much easier than I could a driving iron. I had a Miura which was good, but I remember it having offset which didn't set well with me. My RC is better to my eye. The other thing I found was that I could hit low running 3 irons much more consistent than a driving iron. That being said though, I do highly suggest that you try one. You won't know it'll work in your game unless you give it a go. If you do, let us know how it goes.
  19. This is a killer driver, bar none. While its still very early and I've only had a couple sessions with it, its long, tight and hits the ball and a perfect trajectory. I can shape this club much easier than my KPX. I like the smaller head on this and the fact I don't need to tee it high. I've got a 10.5 with a half degree open head. The feel is incredible. Take the very famous Technity and combine it the KPX and you've got a driver that incorporates all the soft feel one could desire but yet still has the face strength to send the ball screaming off the face and you know exactly how well the ball was struck. Its longer than my other drivers. I do credit some of that of spec'g down my shaft but I played a night game yesterday and hit three drives over 275. All three were perfectly struck. I can't wait to get more time with it to really be able to dial it in. Before getting this I thought this to be a very special club and has it ever lived up to my expectations. I know not all will like this club. If you're used to a 460cc driver and you're doing well with it I don't believe you'll like this. But for me, I stared parring down the driver head size. I started with the Yonex 380 and went to the KPX. I like both of those drivers, the Yonex for the size and the KPX for the high face. And while the S-Yard does not have the high face, I still find it pleasing to look at, at address and have no issues striking it true. I like that I can tee it lower and just swing. In the range session a couple days ago, I found it easy to work the ball, producing gentle fades and draws. Feel wise, its very reminiscent of the earlier Epon clubs for those that have experience with that but IMPROVED. No marshmallow feel, just soft but strong at the same time. Very soft with enough of a hint of harshness to make it all come together. Dare I say, for feel; the S-Yard is to the driver what the Zen is to the putter.
  20. Ok Dale, has yours arrived yet? I've got one range session and a night game yesterday with my son. I will say that I'm highly impressed with Z9003. Very similar to the P9003 series in terms of dispersion and tight trajectory. As some may remember I went down in flex and weight. I've got the Type 6 in stiff and its ideal. It is a little less in flex than the P9003x for sure but still very similar results along the lines of the P9. This shaft I believe has a little more feel than the P9 and I really believed that the P9 was made just for me; I liked it that much. I still do, but this new Z line provides a few more options, that being lighter weight and lighter flex. Its an absolute wonderful shaft that I would be willing to bet could give any of the high modulus shafts a run for their money. Graphite Design has has a definite winner in this one. The Z9003 gives support all throughout the swing and can take anything you want to give it. This is shaft I think deserves more looks from those looking for tight dispersion and rope-like trajectory combined with great feel. I can't wait to get more time in with it to fully discover what all it can accomplish. But thing for me, its accomplishing everything I wanted. If you're a player that liked the P9003 you'll love this shaft as well; maybe even a little more. If you're a player whose specs didn't fit the specs of the P9003, you now have an viable option to get all the benefits of the P9 but in a shaft that will now fit your specs.
  21. Agreed. My RC 3 wood is very solidly in the bag and I have not want for another. Not to mention the RC utility, that won't be leaving the bag either. I've got two wedges and the DB Forged 56 is the best sand wedge I've ever owned. Great club. It does seem like Royal Colllection really "gets it" one year and then takes a year or two off in terms of making something that people want. While they are hit and miss at times, they're still really good at producing quality product from time to time. Always worth a look and they've been doing it for some time. I think its hard to have a "hit" every year.
  22. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Hunter Mahan playing that shaft in his driver at the Match Play over the weekend?
  23. Yes a shaft fits, so maybe didn't phrase the question well enough. Just trying to gain some insight on Shimada. I'm very familiar with KBS and I do like them. But, I want to know how they compare along the lines of KBS.
  24. Can anyone comment from personal experience on KBS vs. Shimadas in a blade iron?
  25. Supo is definitely the expert on this head. I've got the 10.5 with the P9003x and its not high. I haven't messed with the weights at all but I can agree that the harder you go it the better. I will say though that I cannot hit this right or fade it for that matter. In fact, for me it has a desire to draw and go left. I can hit "half" shots with it, that is control the swing but I do have to watch and make sure that I finish the swing completely. If I don't and hold back even a little its left.
