  1. I know the Miura cb 1006 has very little offset. I would have to say thats prob the most blade like cb you can buy. If I had to play a cb that would be the one. I am sure others who have and are currently playing the 1006 will agree and be able to give you some feedback.
  2. Unfortunately I have to send them off to be put together. I don't trust anyone around here to do the job. I re-shaft my drivers and woods but irons are a whole different beast. I should have them back within the next week or two though. And G, I live in Ohio. This time of year nice days to play are hard to come by. I have played the last few days at my club in 40 degree weather but had to walk to keep warm. When I get these babies back I dont care if it is 20 and a blizzard I will be playing!! I will post my thoughts as soon as I play them and will follow up after a few weeks with them.
  3. Pretty much exactly how I felt about the 301's but when i said they were meant for a mid capper before I took a bunch of heat. I would love to try the Fourteens I have heard all great things about them.
  4. Actually got the 5003's today from you guys!!!! I am sending them off mon to get TC S3's in them then I will review. I totally agree that the 301's have an amazing feel. I actually could not believe how soft they were. But again, if you are looking for a blade go with the fourteens or some Miura's. I am sooooooo excited to test out mine. I love TSG, if it were not for you guys I would be stuck with boring old US equipment that i get at cost. Instead I pay twice as much for the J-spec but it makes me happy so it's worth it in the end!!!!
  5. Just a heads up for you. The two irons that you are looking at are not going to play the same at all. The AF-301's are nothing like a blade. They have quite a bit of offset and a rather large top-line. I see you are using 695's and Miura TB's as comparisons. The TB-1000 will be a lot like them regarding size and playability. If you are looking for a blade or anything close to it I would shy away from the 301.
  6. Just ordered my set today. I am planning on going with TC S3's in them. When I get them all together I will be sure to post a review.
  7. Do these take a 355 taper tip??? Thanks for any info. I need to know asap. Thanks!!!
  8. I am looking for a set of either cb201, cb202, cb301, or cb 1006's. I want them with either tour concept s3's or s-300's please pm me if you have anything available. Thanks!
  9. ^^^^^^^ Can you honestly say that you think these look good????? The previous x-blade cb's were much better looking. Sorry I dont think something looks good just because its new. And if you actually read what I said about the 301's I never said I didnt like them, just that they are not a players cb. I think all the fourteen irons look great, all miuras look wonderfull, onoff cb's are prob the prettiest irons I have ever seen, etc...... No luck in BST yet, guess the hype of the 301's has cooled or maybe others had the same opinion as me ;) And appology accepted, you did sound like a jerk.
  10. are the shafts black?????? they appear to be that way in the pic and laso how do these differ from the original R7 forged?
  11. Again, different people will classify what a mid sized cb is differently. I would call the AF301 a midsize cb if that class included the Titleist 755's, MP-57's and such clubs like that.
  12. Beg to digger all you want but these clubs are not even close to being a players cb in my opinion. I dont know how anyone could compare these to a mp-60, j33, or 695 cb. Those three are true players cb's in every way. Comparing to Mizunos they are larger and have more offset than the 57's which I would consider a players cb. The long irons (4,5,6) are a lot better looking than the short irons which have WAY too much offset and bulk to be considered a players club. Like someone said earlier, everyones views will differ. These sticks will be good for people who are looking for a mp-57 or Titleist 755 type club.
  13. I was not trying to compare them to the 67's. I simply said I was coming from them. I was looking for something that resembled a PLAYERS CB as these are billed. I would consider J33 cb's, mp-60's, 695 cb's all players cb's. These 301's are NOTHING like them. They are more comparable to mx-25's which are in no way a players cb. I guess for an iron that is billed as somewhat of a players iron I was extremely dissapointed.
  14. Well, I received by 301's yesterday and headed straight for the course. I am coming from MP-67's so keep that in mind. For me, these irons will not work. They are much larger than expected and have an enormous amount of offset. These do not fit my game well. From hitting them they feel wonderfull though. I have them shafted with blk golds stiff and like others said this is a great combo for feel. If you like a forged cb with greater than normal offset especially in the 7-pw I would look at these. It kind of dissapoints me Epon does not make more of a players club. I would not say these are a players cb by any means. I found them to have more offset and to be far more forgiving than even the MP-57's. For the right person these are great irons. I will be listing them for sale or trade in the BST shortly. If anyone has any other questions about them feel free to PM me.
