Utility/Hybrid to replace 3 iron
I've purchased and settled on the X-UT #4 and X-UT #2 to replace the 4,3 irons. I wouldn't call myself a very good ball striker but have no problems using these. They do however give you a very low launch, very piercing, and very solid. This is great off the tee in windy conditions. These give me a fade/push, very confident in taking out one side of the fairway. I've even taken out my Epon 3w. That Mizuno looks interesting but I can't get use to that hi-bore style crown, it looks like someone stepped onto my driver accidently.

Japanese Pros and their Irons
the sonocaddie is nice, i don't use most of the features, I'm more interested in distances, and they don't have any good mounting accessories. the clip that came with it broke the first week. overall it's good, not awesome. i think i would still buy it again because there's no membership fee. it does what it's intended to do. i love the yardage feature so i know how far i hit each club. i got an amazing 280yd drive with roll yesterday, no wind, country club greens, flat elevation. A few times at 270yds with my measly 98mph swing. not normal, but the gps can tell you that.

Miura 30th Anniversary limited edition irons set
wow, these are gorgeous! i don't like the lettering either but the finish is perfect, each iron looks like a wedge. looks much better than their baby blades. 3000 clams is a lot for me.

Japanese Pros and their Irons
you're kidding right? the 695cb feels clicky but soft and pure to me. it could be the tour concepts i have in them. you hit that sweet spot and it feels really fullfilling, a mis**t is a bit harsh. it could be the shafts you had in them, these are some really nice sticks for retail.

Epon AF-701 Iron Review
yes, you really need to find out for yourself. i have the type s and it suits my current game well, not hard to hit and can still work the ball when I need to. The sole isn't too thick and the best of all is the way the head looks at address, thin top line, compact head shape. It mates with the 1150 stiff well. The only thing I'm trying to work out is sometimes I would get a ball that goes too long. My typical 6 iron is 165, but lately it's going about 165 to 175 and today I got one that went 190. Makes no sense to me, it's not roll or wind. Maybe it's just my swing. I think the new EPon models can only get better.

Epon AF-701 Iron Review
I've also noticed a very high pitched metallic sound on the Type S irons 3-6 that has the separated cavity. What advantages are there for using this type pf material for the face?

Epon AF-701 Iron Review
thanks, i hit the xforged with px6.0 yesterday and I like the way it sets up and was easy to hit for me. could be the combo. although i like the type S, somehow the xforged seems easier and more forgiving, not really sure why.

Epon AF-701 Iron Review
i know this is a jdm forum but is there a place where people can ompare JDM stuff to USDM stuff, like the X-Forged by Callaway, I like that iron and hit is as good as my Type S.

Axiv V 6074 vs X Con6/Code 6
if torque is the difference, wouldn't you won't a lower torque for a large 460 head like the Epon? doesn't seem boardy to me at all, my ss is about 95-98mph with a moderate transition. i guess that's where feel is different per person

Axiv V 6074 vs X Con6/Code 6
what's the difference between code5 and code6. read on another thread that it doesn't have much to do with weight alone?

no not yet. they don't look too different than the 201. i'll wait and see what the new blades look like and maybe make a combo

Any Epon AF-701 Reviews Yet?
the tungsten low and back not only helps get the ball up in the air, but it increases the sweet spot by adding resistance to twisting on mis**ts but makes it harder to work the ball

TM R7 Forged users pls HELP..
having use to own the R7 Forged with Tour Concepts, I have to say that these are indeed premium forgings with a very solid feel. The tour concepts are a great combo and had a very nice penetrating flight without much effort. The Type S I am using now is not as sweet feeling but is more forgiving which I need. The R7 Forged is not clicky, just solid. hit it on the sweet spot and nothing but woosh!

new retail chikara wedges on the bay
saw that these are on the bay in silver but I"m surprised the grooves are double punched instead of cnc milled.

chikara wedges
don't you want the impact area to rust on your wedges? what's the adverse effect besides cosmetic?

Yardage gaps, filling them in with JDM
yeah it's strange, with my old CG10 52 with the true temper wedgeflex, i get 100 yards but with the epon x-wedge 52 with px 5.5, I only get 95. not really sure why.

Yardage gaps, filling them in with JDM
hi Chris, the Type S PW is 46 which goes about 125, the next club down is 52 xwedge which goes 95. I've tried weakening the loft of the PW to 48 which is now about 115. If I wanted to keep the 46 PW, what club would I insert to fill between the 125 and 95?

Yardage gaps, filling them in with JDM
seems like your driver yardage is a lot longer as compared to your 5 iron yardage . I have the same 5 iron yardage with a 48 degree pw at standard length, but my driver can only go 260 with lots of roll, downhill! what gives? Either you're swinging out of your shoes with your driver or tone down your irons, or I just suck with my driver.
