that's why based on just reading, I would choose the 901 over the AF Tour and MB5003. However, sometimes you can't base a decision on advertising alone...for many there aren't any other options due to the unavailability...
  3. are they really limited meaning they only made a certain amount for ever or just this year and more will be available next year? how will these compare to the non-limited version that's coming out?
  4. Chris have you reshafted your 901s with the KBS yet? what do you think? they only offer them with the S200 and 950's.

i've owned the Type J for a brief time and also found that they looked bulky for a player's cavity back. Although on paper they looked good but it was something with the way it looked for me. I had much better luck with the R7 Forged irons. They still felt great but wasn't everything i had hoped for, it could very well be that it was hyped so much, my expectations were WAY up there. Kinda of like going to movies, i hate to go in there expecting the best movie ever, it only disappoints. however, I value ALL the feedback from everyone on this forum. I've learned to to listen to feedback from certain members more than others and this has worked out well for me. So for those that have been touting Miura blades....well they are the real deal. So far the Miura blades and Type S is the real deal for me. I'm very interested in the 901 because it looks nice and has advanced technology inserts. I'm very surprised Epon hasn't infused tungsten in their blades.

the next thing you're going to talk about is what type of grind you can put on your name tag and what moi and then we'll progress to spining and flo'ing the caribeener so that it hangs and swings on-plane while walking.... i think a tag like this puts you into a whole other level of ho'ism... you guys are crack JDM ho's... is there nothing you won't buy? throw some of that money over my way or donate it to the needy.
  7. these looks nice!! too bad the wheels weren't larger so it can actually be used on the course. has anyone tried this yet?

what's the purpose of these tags? is it just a name tag?
  9. great looking wedge. love the graphics. kinda like that GF did on the soles of their putters

it does look a lot like the MP32 had kids with a Nike symbol. i'll wait to formulate on an initial impression till there's more info on the technology behind this set. so far I like the Tourstage 901.
  11. yeah, so far the only contenders are the upcoming epons, tourstage, and miura blades. the Nike VR seems interesting too.
  12. wow, finally something that can give the 5003 a run. i look forward to hearing some good honest feedback. what about a comparison on the grind and leading edge as well as at address? just based on a little data, the 901s are cheaper and has more technology (insert in the cavity) and also has less writing on the back, much cleaner look...
  13. did this ever happen?
  14. so how did it feel? how did it look at address..
  15. i have two black nickel kbs wedge shafts as well as the normal kbs tour stiffs and the black wedge shafts feels softer and more flexible. i can't say it's any better performing but it does look really nice. i paired it with a new z cutter wedge unfortunately i've decided to bench that wedge and try something else, maybe an epon wedge..
  16. i've had one of my iron sets swapped out with KBS 5.5 and they were nice, not as soft feeling or smooth as the 1150s. the KBS felt tight but i didn't experience what many have said, that it prevents hooks. i can still hook it like any other shaft. i've sinced moved to the flighted rifle 6.0 by accident and prefer this over the others, for now. so i guess in the end, try them for yourself and make your own conclusions. i also didn't like the fact that they swingweight a few points lighter due to it's design. i like a heavier shaft like a flighted rifle 6.0 and it doesn't feel boardy.
  17. what are some of the disadvantages of boring out the hosel to 370 assuming it's done right?
  18. does the 5003 dig since it's made for Japanese courses? i've always wanted to try these and wonder if they were better than the TEs that i have
  19. they should have thrown in Epon just for a comparison. I expected much better from Tourstage given the prices they charge
  20. wow, that is pretty fugly it looks like am unwanted growth and the logo is way too big
  21. i can't wait epon blade vs 901 vs miura te vs super blades vs fourteen blades some blade lover has got to do this shootout if a robot can be used that would be even better i'm leaning towards the tourstage 901 only because of the technology/insert they have. however i won't jump to any conclusions till the epons come out, it's hard to believe epon won't be just as technologically advanced.
  22. yes, i've seen that. it's just a smaller version of the spider. if i'm going to go big, i'm going big.otherwise i'll stick to a blade
  23. is there a JDM putter that rolls as true and as forgiving as the spider? i hate the size but love the feel, roll, and forgiveness. i also hate the fact that the pizza box headcover is a piece and can't be replaced due to it's size.
  24. i don't understand the obsession with putters stamped by Kia Ma. Are you really paying for a different putter, highly tweaked putter, or the stamp? i've seen them go for some insane price. i'd like some education please.
