Will check it out, thanks for the recommendation!

Not so sure as those are the only pics I have and I don't know what options are done on the sole and face. The GF01B, the first one is the SS303 version so it's pricey for sure. The GF01A is carbon steel and starts at around 500.

I think the Tomi is what Sasaya-san uses as well. Wow 100g on the butt? That would bring total weight of that putter to around 640g if I'm not mistaken. That is one heavy stick! Foo do you mind me asking how tall you are? 35" is pretty long. I have just as heavy a head but the effects weren''t as pronounced since I'm playing mine at 33".

So how's it going? (^_^) How does the Legacy compare to the Hyper ERC feel wise?
-
I've never tried the Gold's insert only PZ milling but its interesting to know that the sweet spot is towards the heel because that is exactly where it was as well on the old G-Field Premium Zones. Hmmmm I need to think about how you can adjust to this....

Don't forget B also helps a lot online as he has for me... learned more from him in a couple of discussions online than I did in two years going to local teachers....
-
Of course when I say sledgehammer I mean when you swing it... at impact it is very soft and pure. (^_^). But that said, there are those who prefer the heavier feeling head, but if you don't, the butt cartridge or heavier putter shaft is a way to balance out the feel.

MB-5003's from Miura are not only so easy to hit but so very pure. We've had many customers pick these up including players with handicaps as high as 15-17 and proclaim these as their dream irons. Easy to hit and get the ball up and wonderful feel. As I've mentioned before bloggers in Japan still cannot stop raving about them. Chris (Tourspecgolfer) loves his and still has them after a whole season which is rare for him as he has access to pretty much every iron from Japan. They seem to pair best with a smooth steel shaft like NS Pro or with graphite.

The standard shaft in your putter should be around 120g if I'm not mistaken. What kind of putting issues are you having exactly? Do you find you're pulling the ball a bit or having trouble keeping it on line? One of the things with the Gold's putters is that the heavy head can actually throw some players off. The head in mine is 365g and can feel very heavy which can actually affect the putting stroke. A heavier shaft would balance that out. For example my Gold's has the FF shaft in it which is like 107g, paired with the 365g head is like swinging a sledgehammer (^_^). So I had a Balance Certified 30g weight but in the butt which really evened out the weight and allowed me to putt more smoothly. The heavier NS Pro shafts would accomplish a similar result.

L, it's off the site but I think Sasaya may have a few more. I will confirm and damn it am considering one myself since I love that shape in white chrome so much! (^_^)

Yes GF01A's and GF01B's are also available for custom order. the B has a very solid feel with no open cavity and is also heavy because of this... The GF01A is a very classic shape I love. B and A below:

That looks amazing... the tungsten over the lettering actually looks good. I kinda like it. The red and white paintfill on teflon black is a great combination. You will love that PZ milling feel!

Best bet is to pull and check I had a set of TS-202 and they were 0.370 parallel as the original shafts were graphite then reshafted with steel before I got them.

Mizuno Japans all new MP Craft 425 Driver!
gocchin replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
No they are not unfortunately, the ones in the pro shop are 2008 models. The Quad in the Craft was more of an OEM version that shares some characteristics of the current Quad but not the same shaft. Needless to say though still a good shaft. -
Japanese Mizuno Staff Bags on eBay, Legit?
gocchin replied to BigEasy's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I've seen a lot and some of them look fishy. Mizuno quality is top notch usually but unfortunately there has been a lot of Mizuno fakes floating around on ebay lately and usually there is a big drop in quality. I always say if the price is too good to be true then it probably is. TSG gets gear direct from Mizuno and some of the stuff on ebay is below that cost by a lot... that tells me something is fishy. In the past 3 months I've gotten at least five messages from users who have bought Mizuno product from Ebay only to discover that they are fakes. -
Any experiences with Tourstage (Brigdestone) wedges?
gocchin replied to bigvivec's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Great wedges from Tourstage. If you're talking about the one that looks like the J33 forged then it's the old X-wedge from nearly 4 years ago that the Bridgestone's were designed after. I'd highly recommend the new X-Wedges from 2007 or any of the premium forged Tourstage irons... quality stuff. -
Anyone using the Mizuno Limited Black/Red Caddie Bag?
gocchin replied to BigEasy's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The bag just started shipping at the end of June and is close to sold out in Japan. I don't know if anyone on the forum got one but TSG did move a few. The bag size itself is full size but the opening is 9.5" which is typical for Japanese bags. Shipping is the costly like all caddy bags due to size and weight. (you can see it in the pro shop by adding it to your cart). Very good looking bag though and as with all Mizuno Japan bags, very high quality. -
Sure they will make there way in this week! (^_^)

Brett really enforces this and it has worked wonders for me...

Hi R, Say you want to carve your initials RH in the heel bumper. You select carve 2 characters. And when you check out write in the comments section: "Engrave RH in the Heel Bumper White Paintfill" But besides that, most orders that go through the pro shop are very generic. If you want something very custom use the design forms and create your own. That's actually what most people do. Another way is to just attach examples of putters Gold's has done before to get your idea across. You can also email me or PM me with your design in words and request me to photo shop your design. As an example here are a couple I did for TSG a while back: And here are the finished results:

Yup, I've been using the same condom's as you say for the last 4 bags I've used... I just bought 14 tubes the first time and insert them in what ever bag I'm using and you can't even see they are there from the side.... only the top. As you see below they do a good job of keeping the clubs nicely laid out.
-
Any bag smaller than 10" and doesn't have individual pockets per club will get stuck... even the best bags have this problem. I went to golf town and got those plastic tubes that you can trim to length and then slide down the pockets. This way every club is technically in it's own tube and it also keeps the shafts from rubbing up against each other. The tubes also weigh next to nothing so there really is no added weight... if I recall correctly they were less than a buck each too.

That is actually the port for their Opti-fit system to easily swap shafts. Those heads have not gone retail yet in Japan as far as I know. Let us know definitely how that Legacy plays... should be nice!

The New MacTeC Japan NV-NXS w/PICS!
gocchin replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
B, that's exactly what MacTec is saying in their promotions, their quad kick shaft is actually nothing new but the shape of the MacTec head going from the NV-nx to NV-nxR to NV-nxS has seen increases in MOI, shallower faces and elongated heads to prevent less twisting and considerably straighter shots. -
The New MacTeC Japan NV-NXS w/PICS!
gocchin replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
This is new in Japan but already getting great sales with average golfers... easy to square up and hit straight as you say.
