  1. Oh cool there's the QUAD 6Butt Standard... I've been reading a lot about that shaft. Is that stock?
  2. Looking good D, looking good. I've really got to get around to taking pics of my bag once my wedges arrive. o(^^o)(o^^)o waku waku
  3. D, you do the no fill thing for everything don't you? :tsg_smilie_cool:
  4. Great feedback madball!! Like I said that code 6 is a sweet shaft. Now together with the Epon you have you gamer! :tsg_smilie_cool:
  5. ZEROHANDY! Great feedback my friend! Thanks so much for the insight! Good luck testing outdoors and be sure to let us know the ball flight characteristics of the clubs!
  6. You are not alone... the group at TSG has ZERO will power... we are all weak! HUG! :tsg_smilie_cool:
  7. You'll just have to set up a net in the office and swing away... off season really kills us doesn't it? Especially with all this new stuff coming out!!
  8. My guess is that the graphite will not launch too much higher than the Nippons. The torque is very close to the same and I personally haven't seen too many TM graphite shafts that are truly low kick, they are always more like mid. I had a set of TM 85 graphite shafts in the low launching RAC LT and while the shots were higher than steel they were in no way ballooning. With your higher swing speed it is possible that they may play a little loose for you but you will get the softer graphite feel helping shot absorption and probably just as good distance. Then again you also cannot go wrong with the Nippons. I do not have experience with the uniflex ones but the 850GH and 950GH are very smooth and accurate shafts. The feel is definitely there.
  9. Good feedback! How is the feel and sound on impact compared to the Srixon. :tsg_smilie_cool:
  10. It is indeed a low kick shaft while the Nippons are mid kick. What do you currently play? Graphite in your irons?
  11. Yes they are indeed USGA conforming, most likely right at the max 0.83. Chris should be able to get these, please drop him a PM. :tsg_smilie_cool:
  12. Well the magazines in Japan haven't mentioned much about the new line, at least the ones I read (December, January issues). I find all the gold pretty damn ugly looking. The clubs look kinda cheap or pimped out in my opinion.... But reading the TM Japan site the New R7 XR driver is: 460cc Available in 9.5 10.5 11.5 Available 0.5 closed 1.0 closed 1.5 closed Lie 59* Length 45.5" REAX XR Shaft is super light at 38g for R, 42g for SR, 47g for S with 4.9 4.6 and 4.5 torque respectively and mid kick Comes with Moveable Weight Technology (two weight ports w/ 2g and 10g installed) plus a weight kit containing an extra 4g and 8g and wrench. 13. Hehe typo! It's in fact 29.9. I thought I had made it through typing out all those numbers without making a mistake. Swing speed was between 95-100 mph.
  14. Thanks for the compliment. I've come to the conclusion that when it comes to J-Spec gear like that it's all about education. We learn a lot on this site which is why we can make purchases a lot of the time without even seeing a product up front. Hopefully any info I post on this forum can help members make choices suited to their playing style and swing. :tsg_smilie_cool:
  15. Indoors my friend, indoors. :tsg_smilie_cool:
  16. What kind of carry and total distance are you getting with that combo? My Epon 460 10.5* will be shafted up with a 6060L Wednesday and I can't wait to hit it.
  17. Why do you say that? The PT-7 X CPM is 15 higher than the PT-6 S and with a bit less torque would definitely feel stiffer. Is it the lower launch angle? What did you end up going for? :tsg_smilie_smile:
  18. The highest point the ball reaches in it's flight. :tsg_smilie_cool:
  19. I've put together some useful info on how different J-Spec shafts perform. This chart can be used as a generic guide to give you an idea on each shaft's characteristics. People always ask about finished CPM and spin and so on so here's some info. The data is from earlier this year so it's missing a few newer shafts, but I'll try and update it as I get more info.
  20. I just noticed that Tourstage pro Katsumasa Miyamoto is hitting a new 2007 X-Drive 410P Prototype.... I'm reading that many of the pros want a fade machine and Miyamoto who's previous driver was an X-Drive 365 prefers the smaller head driver which is why he's hitting the 410P. He previously had started out with the 410 but is now with the 410P... wonder if it will go retail?
  21. B, It is in fact 1888 RPM and 43 RPM (almost no side spin). T
  22. Ari, it could very well be the shaft as all of the clubs using the stock XD shaft either went straight or had a draw. I've got a much more detailed report on all the models but I won't get around to translating it till tomorrow so please check back later this weekend.
  23. I summarized some of the test data from Golf Gear and posted it up over at Inpakuto.com. Gives a general idea of how each new X-Drive performs and may help you decide which model you want. 2007 X-Drive Characteristics
  24. From reading your review on the T3 you seem pretty happy with the results of the PRGR. I'd say wait a bit for live feedback and see as the driver doesn't go retail till the end of December. I'm not going to lie to you but I bet it will be one of the best drivers out there but it looks as if it's geared towards more low handicappers with fast swings. All the Tourstage pros are using already it and I've heard their feedback, they love it. It looks awesome, the face is amazing, sets up great, and launches rockets. Hehe what more can you ask for? Yeah but you better wait and see. :tsg_smilie_smile:
