My #3 is brand new and Chris offered to replace. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I just tightened the screw the best I could. I decided to see what happens when I hit it. When I do, and if the weight comes loose, I would assume G-Field will replace. At least that's what I expect. It's obvious something is wrong with the ports or G Field isn't tightening the screws enough. You would think that they would provide a wrench with the purchase of the club. The club looks nice though...but we'll see.

I purchased a GFT-FW #3 head from chris and installed a shaft. After it dried, I cut it down and installed a grip. It was then I noticed the club vibrating. One of the weights was loose and I just tightened it with a sharp object... the best I could. I live in Ohio, so I haven't even hit it yet. I e-mailed chris and he said that he has been asking GField for that wrench for the last 5-6 months. I can only assume that it will come loose again after I hit it. I suggest checking back with Chris or contacting G-Field. I was thinking about applying some epoxy to the threads and screwing it in the best I can. It's just a thought, I'd prefer the wrench. Let me know if you have any luck.

Chris, I base it on hitting the club...You built me a 460 9.25 with Axiv 8080 and it flies high. I hit it the as far, as accurate, as my TM TP. It's just my opinion and gut instict, which are usually right on. I don't disagree with your approach. But I have a feeling he will pick the 9.5 and like it. And here are a few stats regarding American pro's...I wish they were different. That was my opinion after hitting the Epon. Golf is all about feel...the American golfer are too consumed with mechanics and technology. I believe that's the chief argument that lends credibility to why European golfers are surpassing American Pro's by leaps and bounds. Any club/shaft combo that I hit, and I'm sure this applies to many others, I know instantly if it suits me. In regards to technology; there is no driver on the market that is going to increase my distance and accuracy to the point I'm impressed. I need to like the way it feels and looks. Technological advances have reached a cross roads imo; you can't make drivers any bigger, you can move the center of gravity,use different materials etc...it's not going to make me hit it 30 yards farther and find more fairways. It will increase the distance and accuracy of someone has never been fit with a golf club in their life. In regards to the TSG member I said go with the 9.5...He already stated he hit it high, so I simply stated the 9.5 will work. LEt's wait to hear his opinion after he chooses. thx

Get a 9.5, nothing higher. My experience with the Epon...I had a 9.25 hand picked loft w/Axiv V-spec 8080 and hit it very high. I usually play and 8.5 TM TP 460 and hit a mid trajectory. My Epon/Axiv combo hit it very high with no roll. The 9.5 will suit you just fine, trust me.

Are they the same thickness as the x100's? I tried X100 Super Lites earlier in the year because they were a mirror image of the x100's only lighter. They were thicker when I wrapped my hands around them, which I hated. Also, what flex do you play in the 1150's; I assume X. Do you have to swing them or like my x 100's can you lay off them and hit finess shots, 3/4 shots etc...

Is the EPon 460 conforming or Non conforming (usga)?

Anyone hit the Fourteen TB 1000 (forged)? Also, I play DG X100's and looking at new steel shaft options...any suggestions? I like a mid ball flight. Also, are the Fourteens a compact blade? thx

Can I lay off it and still have the shaft perform? I'm tempted to go with the SX flex vs. X

Looking into buying a Axiv shaft...SS 115-120, med-fat tempo, mid ball flight, 65grams. Currently play the Aldila Proto by you 60X. I've heard the Axiv's play softer, is that accurate? From what I've heard, they will play like a UST V2. I like the feel and response of the Speeder 757. I'm always testing new shafts and want something that is LONG. I will probably buy and EPON 460, but since they only come in 9.5, I will probably buy a shaft with a high kick to lower the ball to my preference. Any suggestions regarding whic Axiv I should use based on the info above. thx
