Looking for Some Ideas
The wait... is torturous!! The killer part is we don't know if they're going to be Copper or the Vintage Copper!!!! Actually doesn't matter to me as I have been flip flopping on which one I'd rather have. Opening this box is going to be the highlight of my month.. regardless of which month they show up. I have a question for you guys... Where else can you get a custom ordered set of irons made from the finest forgings in the world, that are the exact - Loft - Lie - Length - Finish - shafts - grips - engraving - even the Ferrules, that you have asked for (demanded ) .... and know they will be done right??? take it from someone who know.... Is the only place!

One hybrid or two
I have a bunch of really nice hybrids... they are all in the office bags. They don't go to the Golf Course anymore. For me, the 18* 5 wood and the 22* 9 wood are much more consistent and easier to hit for me than the hybrids. I don't have any problem hitting my long irons so there is no need to try and replace them with anything better. I tell people I'm going to hit my 9 wood(3 iron replacement)and they all but start laughing... until I hit it. It's absolutely my money club. 190 to 205 yards the club is so dialed in it still amazes me. It seems the problem I have with the hybrids is getting consistent yardage from shot to shot. This is something I don't have a problem with, with any other club. I've considered putting the 20* 7 wood in my bag as Chris mentioned but I find I can choke down the 5 wood and inch or so and get the same results. Plus I am really liking the 4 wedge set up and unwilling to take one out of the bag right now. What I really wish is I could carry 15 Clubs!!!!

OK got my first whacks in w/ the new Epons...
I wondered how you were going to be able to wait until Saturday to hit them. When I first got my Epon driver I too was hitting a TS driver. I am a big fan of TS in general and especially their drivers. Seems I had the same feelings as you after one range session.. not sure if it was all that much better (Epon). To make a long story short, I think you'll find the Epon a bit more forgiving out on the Golf Course where it really matters. Once dialed in, it will be hard to go back. Looking forward to your review after you've had it in play a few times. The 3 wood (or any Epon FW) with the QT shaft... no brainer. Best combination of club head and shaft on the planet. IMO. Good Luck!!!

Golds Factory standard putter loft and face angle
I thought the stock Putters were 4* open and 5* loft... I believe Cameron Putters are standard at 3* open, 4* loft... Still, it's all about getting the specs you want. This is part of what makes a GF Putter so good.

Newbie Question
My apologies for not welcoming you to the Forums here at TSG Welcome Yogithebulldog Please... feel free and ask any questions you have. We have a great group of folks here. We might be a bit biased, but then that's what JDM clubs have done to us.

ordering flat or upright irons
I would also add that each Manufacturer has different "standard" lie angles. Looking at specs of different clubs I notice the PW might be 64* lie standard.. 63.5, 63... etc. Ordering a set 2* flat does not mean you will end up with the lie that is best for you. You need to know your optimum lie angles and order the clubs that way.

EPON 08???
All the clubs have been covered.... New Bags???? I want one!!!!

Need some help with a cart bag......
What brand of clubs do you play or what brand do you have the most of in your bag?? That would most likely be the deciding factor (for me) as all the bags you have picked out are really sweet.

Epon - Someone needs to set the record straight.
As far as the irons go... The shaft is going to play a factor as with every club on the planet. But, my EPON irons (J's) seem to be pretty standard if not a hair longer than any other irons with the same loft angles. So, to answer your question... the Irons, J's in particular, do not have a distance loss because of the soft feel. FWIW I hit my EPON driver as far as any other driver out there. What I like most about it, besides the feel, is the forgiveness. When I mis hit a drive it's usually a bit on the toe. The ball, instead of going right stays straight or even works back to the middle of the fairway.

Golds Factory finish options?
My black putter I have posted pictures of I believe is the Matte Black, not the Teflon. I have played approx. 40-50 rounds and practiced another 10 hours with it. I have used it extensively. I also take very good care of it. I never put it in the bag without the cover on it. I wipe it down with a wet cloth and then wipe it thoroughly with a Cameron oil cloth after EVERY round and occasionally will wipe it down with baby oil. It still looks almost new with very light wear showing on the sole. I think the wear on the bottom is from tamping down the ball marks I repair.... it seems I fix mine and one or two others on each green. The beads boron finished putter I have has only been out for about 5 rounds and practiced with about 2-3 hours in the back yard. I wipe it down with a wet cloth only. Still looks brand new. IMO the beads boron is the most durable finish. Not sure about the Teflon finish, but I would guess it would be quite durable as well. My guess is the soft black would be the least durable finish The putter has a fairly heavy coat of baby oil on it in these pictures. I LOVE THIS PUTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing (and I've tried) has been able to knock this baby out of my bag.

Black Gold Descending Weights
Now I'm a bit confused because what I thought... Each iron head becomes slightly heavier as you go down. ie the 3 iron head is lighter than the 4 iron head, 4 iron head is lighter than the 5 iron head, etc. Each shaft is lighter as it gets shorter and offsets the difference in the weight of the heads, keeping the same swing weight throughout the set. Generally the PW will be 1 swing weight heavier than the rest of the set. If all the shafts were the same weight each iron would get heavier as it progressed to the PW. 3 iron could be a D1, 4 iron D2, 5 iron D3, with the PW ending up at D8 Having Descending Weights (shafts) maintains the same swing weight throughout the set. Does that make sense? Am I right??? BTW, I absolutely love the BG shafts.

OK Epon nuts I am going to give it another try...
I probably sound like a broken record when I say the EPON FW's with the QT shaft are simply the best.

General BS Thread
idrive replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearThe golf courses here in Vegas are all over seeding at the moment... making it tough to find a course that's decent to play on. Seems the ones that are still open and haven't punched their greens or over seeded are really expensive to play.....
