The Long 47"ers. Too Long?
Thanks for the review Tatsuro. IMO, these longer and longer shafts are just silly. The best players in the world rarely play a Driver over 45". I believe the avg. length (for the pro's) is just under 45". Granted, they aren't looking for distance as much as they are control because most hit the ball so dang far, it's all about keeping the ball in the fairway. I think the avg. player would (should) rather have the ball in the fairway than an extra 10 yards down the fairway... in the rough. Can't score if you're not in the fairway. I consider myself a pretty good ball striker with the Driver but there is no doubt that once going longer than 45" (for me) the consistency hitting the sweet spot, hitting the ball in the fairway, drops. Scores go up. I've now proven this to myself with several different shaft and Driver combo's and now never exceed a 45" driver. I would be very surprised if the average player plays these longer lengths as well or better than the shorter (45" ish) ones. I'm talking about fairways hit, not the occasional bomb that goes an extra 10 yards. Rambling and rant over.

For Sale a Ryoma D1 Special Tuning 9.5 Degree with Crazy Noir TJ-46 FLEX 7.2
I have one sitting here I've been going to list... Every time I start to I just can't get myself to go through with it. This is the driver I play when my boys take me out and drag me back to the tips. The extra 10+ yards comes in handy.

Ute's - Giving Away
Practically giving these away. If hybrids are hook machines then you need to try these. The flatter lie and lack of offset make these the most playable hybrids ever.

distance 3 woods....
Having seen all the shots you hit in Oz, I have to disagree with you on this one. I don't know which FW you hit on the Lakes Course, Par 5, the hole John Daley tin cupped and walked off the course on.... 2nd shot, out from underneath the trees, horrible lie, across the water into a wind that was against/sideways blowing hard.... probably one of the best shots I've ever seen. Period!! I'm saying around 240-250yards.... I seriously couldn't believe it. I saw it and still don't believe it.

My First Gold's Putter Review and some pics from Gold's Workshop
Very nice, Congratulations Is the second Putter going to have a PZ milling insert? Horizontal lines? If so it is a much more firm feel. Should be just what you're looking for.

Taylormade Japan 2014 Lineup - Gloire, SLDR 430 TP etc!
What I want to see is the 430TP and new Gloire in a shootout Which is longer, which is more forgiving although I would assume the Gloire will be more forgiving but head to head is one longer than the other? So, I'll be in Vegas in about 10 days so if a volunteer is needed.... just sayin.....

Did Gold's Factory work with Gauge Design in the past?
I'm sure Chris will chime in as I'm pretty sure he knows. I thought Master Sasaya originally worked for Gauge Design, George Takei and then branched out on his own. 2005 ish? Not saying I'm right but that's what I seem to remember.

The New Callaway Legacy Black Utility Wood
What's really nice about this Ute (for me) is it's a couple of * flatter than most. Much much easier to hit consistently.
-
Kamui Tpo7s nitrogen version. anyone?
I truly believe with the right shaft (for the person playing this driver) this is the best overall driver out right now. Distance - Forgiveness - Feel - Sound (subjective) CONSISTANCY I'm not saying it's the longest or the most forgiving or the best at any one thing, just the best overall driver.

shaft to replace crazy boron on ryoma type v?
I think the new tech in the Ryoma's takes away the feel of hitting it well. You just don't get the sensation you've clobbered one. I'm not sure a different shaft will change that. If I were to suggest one it would be a Diamana B. Great shaft and I have found it gives a better sensation of having hit it well. Have you tried either of the S-Yards? The XV or the T.388? Much better feel and great results.

Official TRPX Drivers and Shafts Review Thread
I'm guessing when I suggest this. I wonder if it's the weight of the head you need to increase, not the shaft. Do you know what the head weight is?
