+TourSpecGolfer
Remember the Crack Tip Dispute? earlier this week? I deleted the thread when I got the E-mail he would refund in 4 days. The overwhelming support for a refund really pissed him off and this is what mr. bombdrive sent me: Oh, yeah? I changed my mind and I'll be the first one not torefund. I'll bring this to the student legal service in my university where I can use a lawyer for free and see what the laws say. Thanks, Yunchul And this guy was a good member/customer last week :surprize: Of course the buyer isn't going to waste his time at court for a $100.00 cracked tip shaft but here is a great example of a nightmare seller. This attitude, lack of understanding and unwillingness to accept responsibility is the reason he is no longer a member here and the reason why Golf Forum B/S/T's are not as safe as we would like them to be. 1-n-glen
Yup, i'm the victim....Bomb sold me a badly pulled shaft (cracked & twisted tip) and claims the damage was cause during shipping....not possible...insuring the box isn't an issue....cuz the damage was done prior to shipping...he refuses to give me a refund....then asked Chris to post an unbiased poll on TSG to let the members decide if a refund was due or not....(after a few prejudice remarks) ....the result was unanimously for a refund.....then he changes his mind and decides to take this to court....what is he going to get out of this? He still has my$$$$... TSG buy/sell/trade is a great asset to all members and is a great way to B/S/T our stuff without paying a commision..like EBAY.... I love this site and the members here..lets keep up the good work.. Aloha, Glen.
Guest
Real pity you've had to resort to such measures. I suppose it would be foolish to expect every trade on TSG to conclude smoothly. If it's absolutely certain that the tip could not have been damaged as a result of shipping, then you have taken the appropriate action. The fact that he had initially agreed to a refund perhaps also demonstrates admission of guilt...

Bomby was a great buyer, I don't know him as a seller except for this single transaction with glen. glen even agreed to pay shipping, in fact until i got involved glen was almost forced to have to fix, sell and 50% loss refund because bomb was 120% stubborn. I had to get involved because I have seen this situation many times before and there is only one right thing to do in this case. I think he felt cornered when I helped glen but what he doesn't realize is if glen was the seller and bomb was the buyer, I would be on bombs side just the same. BTW how many pulls can a shaft handle before the shaft begins to warp?
FAQ
BTW how many pulls can a shaft handle before the shaft begins to warp? General rule of thumb is don't use a shaft that has been pulled more than once. I think it depends on who did the pulling and how it was done to determine how many times. I wouldn't use one more than once though.

joey3108
The shaft was a fujikura speeder 757 tour-spec stiff flex.Glen,If that shaft is coming out from a driver, you can tipped it and put it on a 3 wood. It would be a great 3 wood shaft IMO. Don't worry! Karma is real. :smile1: Joe
1-n-glen
Hi Joe, the shaft came from a driver but i can't tip the shaft for a 3 wood cuz the crack and twist starts about 3/4" above the tip end and extends another 3/4" up the shaft...i'd have to tip 1 1/2" minimum....( i don't think this happen during shipping) but then again, i don't want to pass this shaft on to someone else....i don't want to do what bomb did to me......thanks, glen. jboy
hi Chris, an ebay rating system on B/S/T may work, myself I don't do business with anybody without 100% recommendation on ebay and would be the same here I think that would work. :o
