These 904F's have inherited the design of the 980F fundamentally, The 904's sole is now completely silver unlike the 980's part black sole. The head cover is supposed to be very different and The face now looks more shallow. Some other differences are the score lines on the face and although the 980F had a sharp leading edge and had a more inverse triangle shape instead the new 904 looks semi trapezoid and the roundness and grounding area from the sole has been increased in size.

I wish Titleist would rethink their whole thing with bore through heads. It makes it too hard to figure out how a shaft will work in it. Big pain. I liked the 980F's but only with steel shafts.

This is probably the only part of the set titleist has yet to put a good product out for. These pics look like 980's with new score lines, some silver junk and a weight plug thrown on the bottom. Hopefully it will end up being a good club. Titleist is so big they should buy a company like sonartec who specializes in fairway woods to help them make a good one.

Personally I think Titleist fairwaywoods are great. I only wish I could add these to my bag. I'll prob end up waiting for the model after the 904s to do so.

Same here, I think Titleist has always made quality FW's. I could never hit the PT or 970 very well but the 980F I hold in high regard.
