Posted November 10, 200420 yr comment_63828 Why Fujikura Does not allow dealers to sell shafts only? Anyone know the reason? What happends if you get caught?
November 11, 200420 yr comment_63863 Chris, Where'd you hear that from? Since last October or November, ANYONE can buy Fuji shafts as components. This is one of the reasons that they aren't commanding the high dollars on Ebay anymore...their not unique and hard to get ahold of anymore.
November 11, 200420 yr comment_63884 indacup, That's apply only on the Pro Vista and Vista Tour Only if I'm not wrong. Other than that as far as i know every Fuji Dealer are not supposed to sell shaft only. They want to make sure that they can control their waranty replacement from their pointed dealers only. And also they want to make sure their dealer is capable on handling a good work. At least those are some of the reason they do this agreement. I'm sure there are other stuff to that i can't remember one by one on the agreement. Cheers! Joe
November 11, 200420 yr comment_63887 Joey is 100% correct. The only ones you can buy are the the vista tour and vista pro. And they still bring a pretty penny on ebay. I've seen 757 tour spec (new graphics) go for $215 recently Andy
November 11, 200420 yr comment_63888 Joey- Oops! I think you're right! I was going to post you were wrong..and went to offer links from places I've bought Fuji shafts individually...and saw the little fine print saying they must come assembled. Well, I guess this answers Chris other question.... If you don't get caught, you won't get in trouble.. I have bought at LEAST a dozen Fujis since last year, including two 757's and got them all individually. Wow. Guess it doesn't matter for me now since I've found everything I need in the Mercury line.
November 11, 200420 yr comment_63894 Well! They could or might loose their dealership priviledege if i'm not wrong. However, It probably apply only for American edition/issue not japanes one. Beats me! :-D I don't understand how strick their rule is. Cheers! joe
November 11, 200420 yr comment_63947 That rule applies to top of line Fujikura shaft line such as Speeder, ZCom & Tour Release(?). If you buy a shaft alone from someone and it breaks or got damaged, you're so out of luck on warranty. But if you have someone with charter Fuji account to install Fujikura shaft, you can claim warranty on the shaft if something goes wrong with the shaft. So, if you buy new Fuji shaft alone, install it yourself and it breaks, tough sh!t. If you have someone like Joe, Bush or Robby to install Fuji shaft for you, I believe you'll get replacement if something goes wrong with the Fuji shaft. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
November 11, 200420 yr comment_63948 When I applied for a Fuji account I had to sign papers stating that I would not sell the shafts as components. It was almost like the attitude was "We are not a component company and will not stoop that low". If a person is caught selling Fuji's as single pieces then there account can be revoked. The initial buy in is very substantial by the way. I forget the exact number but I do remember it wasn't worth it for me to keep a bunch of high dollar Fuji's laying around my shop at the golf course trying to sell installs to a bunch of 65+ year old retired men. November 11, 200420 yr comment_63957 Just noticed the other day that the Tour Platform 26.3 (is this the same shaft that's sometimes referred to as Tour Release?) is available online thru Golfsmith now as well as the Banzai utility shaft.
November 11, 200420 yr comment_63959 are you guys talking about jsut the shaft? bc ive gotten plenty of fuji shafts installed...
