I'm looking for a heavier 660TR, looking to gain a little more control. :rough:

looking for the following Specs:

X-flex

85-95 grams

3.0-3.5* torque

smooth feel and playing characteristics of the 660TR

Current Driver specs:

9.5* 510DF w/ 660TR X tipped 1" D5-D6 44.25" This setup feels perfect to me, once I got the tipping right. I wanna try a heavier shaft in my R7, before I screw with my 510DF setup.

Any suggestions will be appreciated

Thanks,

I'd probably say the 761TB (Speeder - 761TB TourSpec - 46 77.5 3.1 midhigh) but they aren't that heavy. That's pretty heavy! Here's a few...

Fit ON! 11 professional 95 - 46 in. 93 grams 3.0 Torque high kick

Fit ON! 11 HK-PRO95 Tour-Spec - 46 in. 93 grams 3.0 Torque high kick

I would say a HK pro 80 will play very similar with the heavier weight you're looking for. Not sure of the weight, but I assume it's around 80-85 grams, torque is 3.5 and a mid tip. I have an X in a driver tipped 1.5" at 44" and it still kicks like an angry mule. Good distance shaft.

Zcom TW84 supposed to be very nice.

Or simply wrap some lead tape around the shaft just below the grip (might need adjust swingweight a bid, thou). Did that with my 757 and love it.

Thanks Haribo, Why didn't I think of that? :-D

Haribo just might have saved me some :money:

This is going to sound kinda crazy and is not "Fujikura", but the Blue 90 is heavy, rally smooth and has that active lower mid kick and actually plays weak to flex because of the bend point like a 660TR. Cheap experiment too.

Blue 90 ? never heard of it...who makes it?

Thanks,

grafalloy Blue 90 - tour version that is heavier, great fairway wood shaft, but if you are looking for that kind of kick then it might work. GD Purple Ice would probably work well too.

They arent the cool name, but sometimes you gotta overlook that to find what works. I have played them both as well as just about any Fujikura you can find and they spec out and play just as tight ime.

Glad if it saves you some bucks. Again worked with my 757 like a charm.

Here's one other recommendation. I'm pretty impressed with Accra shafts lately and they have a shaft called SC95 that's in the 90 something gram area.

Who cares what its called, as long as it works. Played the Pro-lite 35 many moons ago....damn good shaft too IMO

Thanks
