December 26, 200420 yr comment_70038 i have a question about the NV shaft tips. do they ahve a soft tip and a firmer tip, so you can have options on trajectory?? is this true or false because i kno that the NV has a mid-high kick point and would give the ball a more boring flight so help me out No selection on tip firmness. See the Aldila website for all specs on all their shafts and weight. http://www.aldila.com - Take a look at the NVS shaft as well. Personally, The NV's don't fit my swing... I swing pretty smooth and I don't load them well. They feel very boardy to me. Although I haven't tried the NVS or the very light NV's. I prefer either the Graphite Designs or Fujikura's.
December 28, 200420 yr comment_70259 the nv-65 has 3.5 torgue and would say medium tip, the nv-75 has 2.8 torgue and firm tip, the new nvs has a soft tip.. if i had to rate the tip firmness that's how i would rate them.. all have different playabilty factors. hope this helps.. ken
December 28, 200420 yr comment_70276 According to Aldila and their rep's postings, all NV s have a high kick and a firm tip (all have the same profile). I did not find the NV 65 to have a mid kick - it does not get the ball up for me - smooth type 100 mph driver swing - the NVS is a different story - it does have a softer tip and many people, from posts I have read, really enjoy this shaft if one needs/desires more height.
December 29, 200420 yr comment_70328 Sorry to thread jerk but what tip size nv would you need to fit a TM rescue mid tp fitted with a dgs400.
December 29, 200420 yr comment_70346 Sorry to thread jerk but what tip size nv would you need to fit a TM rescue mid tp fitted with a dgs400. fo the tp's.. you need the nv hybrid shaft... :smile1:
January 10, 200520 yr comment_72092 ... the nv 65 and the nv 75 have the same tip stiffness. the torque values make the nv 75 play a little stouter than the nv 65, but the tip stiffness is the same. the nvs has a much softer tip providing an even smoother feel and a higher trajectory... ... for the rm tp's, you can use a .355 taper nv hybrid or a .350 tip nv shaft untipped oryou can use a .335 wood shaft with a brass shim. fwiw i use a shorter nv hybrid shaft in my 19* rm tp as it replaces a 2i in my bag, and shim a longer nvs 85 .335 tip with a brass shim to replace a fairway wood in my rm tp 16*...
January 12, 200520 yr comment_72348 I use the 95 aqnd I feel that itis pretty soft tipped compared to alot of other shaft. I feel that thetip is soter than the pro -95 but overall nice feeling shaft. I need to launch the ball higher now that im in the us so it doesnt bother me that much. // Johan
