Lowpro
from what accra has said to us-- most pga guys are using the tour series.. nationwide players like the SCseries best.. but i did not notice the shaft-might have to drop a line to the accra rep... :smile1:
haribo
most pga guys are using the tour series.. nationwide players like the SCseries best That's kinda odd, isn't it. Any particular reason why? haribo
CLMelton
most pga guys are using the tour series.. nationwide players like the SCseries best That's kinda odd, isn't it. Any particular reason why? haribo From what I've read, it's the low torque of the SC series that the Nationwide guys like so much. That and the lack of "boardiness" for such a low torque shaft. Lowpro
i think melton made a good point.. it probably has to do with the very low torgue and lower ball flight - with the young guns very high swing speed and along with probably accra pushing the SC model on that tour could be the reason. but on the senior & pga the tour series has been the one of choice.. and funny the 50gram x flex is in big demand.. enjoy
haribo
Thanks. Was just wondering. Got a SC75 and like it a lot but don't have a monster swing speed nor am I a young gun. Well, I'm not old either but not 20 anymore either. Great shaft. Tight dispersion and smooth, not boardy at all. haribo
Lowpro
hairbo, try it in a 3 or 5wood... i have one in a ss-03 4wd and it flat out rocks.. untipped in a stiff flex.. so maybe it can be used.. i have hit the sc-65 and 75 in drivers and with my 105-110 swing speed it was fine.. so give it a try... ken

Have a Fuji HM4 (107gram) in my 4 wood and love it. Will try the T70 in a driver one day. haribo (why is everybody turning my name into "hairbo" for crying out loud...?????) gbrgolf
Hey,Did anyone notice Jesper using an Accra Tour shaft in his driver at the Skills Challenge this past weekend? I wonder which one it is? TeeItHi Hi Guys, Ken (LowPro) has answered virtually all the questions, but I'll just clarify a couple of items. Yes Jesper has been using an Accra Tour 70 M5 since early fall. Of the 60 Tour players that used Accra's in 2004, there was a pretty even split between the SE, SC, and Tour series. It really depended on what spin rates the player was trying to aciheve. All Accra's have the Low Torque/responsive tip technology, but the torque ranges from 1.5 - 4.0. What Ken was getting at is even the Tour 50 is so stable (at 50 grams) that guys like Rich Beem used it all year (and he rips at it!). The SC95, was introduced on Tour mid season, and became quite popular with "steel" guys and as a fairway wood shaft. Of all Accra's it has the the least responsive tip (but still far more active than any othe 2.0 torque shaft our there!). Haribo, I'm glad to hear you like the SC75...that may be out most popular single model on the PGA and Nationwide Tour...but if your interested in something that feels similar to your SC75 but in that 100 gram range, talk to Ken (LowPro), he can get you a SC95 anytime now! Cheers, Gawain

Cheers, Gawain Hi Gawain, You know me from GO as "harrycan" ... that sc75 I got from Jeff at Angus is really nice. Regarding the SC95 ... was already thinking about putting it into my 7 wood but would really prefer a shaft around 110+ gram (my 4 would shaft is 107gram and therefore would like it even a tad heavier ... weight progression). It has a Rifle currently which is alright but I'd like a higher trajectory. So, a few more grams and that sc95 would be perfect. haribo
TeeItHi
Hey,Did anyone notice Jesper using an Accra Tour shaft in his driver at the Skills Challenge this past weekend? I wonder which one it is? TeeItHi How do you like yours ?- I am thinking of trying a T70 in my 540DF Sorry my shaft on my signature is wrong. I actually use the Tour T60 not T70. And to answer your question, yes I do like this driver head/shaft combo, I also have another driver which is the 510TP w/Accra SC75 which I haven't used since I got the R7 and these 2 drivers had very different playing characteristics.
