showroomkev
like my 32s but hit some satin scratch classics and fell in love. has anyone hit both?
vikingstormlarsen
Well I play Scratch Proto blades- close to classic and I have tried MP32 with "wrong" shaft... I have during my 5 yrs of golfing always loved Miz especially their irons.. Attention to detail and quality - awesome! I remember when I bought 681´s where the chrome just "flinged" off-took me 7 months to have Titty working it out.. Both are really good, but I hold Scratch a tad better because you can shape your set exactly sa you want it with grind etc.. Both are great- find right shaft... I will soon find it
Zizou
I, too, am very interested in the views that people have of Scratch classics and how they compare to others, such as Mizuno MP 32s. Thanks for any information.
vikingstormlarsen
Mine has boxed toes, sp they are, in other eyes, smaaallll! But I think that even the 2I is easy to hit.. Don´t consider it a dimesized sweetspot And the forgings ... so soft! Scratch is for me... But in the future.. thsoe Hiros looks great.. Is it possible to have them with other shaft than on their website? TC etc.. But nah...Scratch baby  especially all clean , blank, satin and just my initials. lonniejt
I am with Jonas...Scratch all the way!!! Much better metal overall, and Ari's attention to detail cannot be matched by any retail iron...or custom for that matter. Blade Golf is a great option if you are looking for a custom Miura Forging - "www.bladegolf.com". I have played both and both are great Irons!!! You do have to have the right shaft, and knowing your personal specs will not hurt either...both Richard and Ari are great to work with and will treat you right. tincup975
Mizuno MP-32's are a great set of irons....but I have not hit anything that Scratch golf produces so I can't say for sure.....but Mizuno's are SWEET!!!!!
vikingstormlarsen
I think that whatever you pick for your choice, you have to feel satisfied and find your "mates" I realized that more and more.. But it is still so nice to "ho´e " around but will it build calm and concentration to the game or is it just cool stuff? I was a former target shooter, close to attend to the olympics with pistol as my game, the guys who really could deliver there were the guys that had totally customamde guns. They hade the grip really made for their hand so, even with the toughest pressure, you could remain totally relaxed and in trust. Target shooting and golf are in many ways very close.. you have just this shot n this moment nothing before and nothing after... Therefor if I can find me a "gunsmith" that actually can help me out with a set of clibs that I can really trust .. well I go with it. Ari, helped me out extremely well 6000miles away or so.. I am pretty sure that Miz can do the same..' I don´t need thelogo : TM, Miz, Cally etc.. I need to learn to score.. but on the road to great score the equipment is a hill to climb :smile1: I love stuff but for my focus and for my total concentration I go with custom.. And they areso friggin nice to look at, no one else have something alike it in their bags aswell .. wich is damn nice :smile2: Go with the feel my friend it is the right way! vikingstormlarsen
OH I need to add a thought more :-) When I was at my peak in targetshooting with my pistol, I could close my eyes and still shoot great shots... I have tried it on the range.. workswell with my wedges so far.. Feel and fun - my way!
Breal
MP-32 hands down IMO.
+TourSpecGolfer
Why between only these two sets? There are so many other great options for your money. but if you have your mind set, go fot the MP32's U.S domestic or Japanese Customs. The MP32's will hold its resale better and the steel Mizuno uses is more durable than 1018 steel that will bend and ding quick. Breal
From what I have learned out there on tour and great club builders, 1018 steel is way too soft to use. It will dent and it changes characteristics after a few rounds. This is from my own experiences and from other tour players. Mizuno use way better metals that are more durable steels that hold up great and feel wonderful. You can ask any reputable club builder, golf club designer/tech and other tour players or anyone who knows fully about clubs and metal on or at any OEM about 1018 steel and they will tell you the same. Try out 5 range sessions and take for a comparison on your original specs, the spec will move to different specs ( lies and lofts ) will be different and you will have to change them back. I kid you not.

Godfather1
I love my scratch cb's, but in hindsight I would go for mizuno because if for some reson you don't like them you can get pretty close what you paid, take a look at the bst section and look for what a near new set of scratch goes for. I don't know which is better because I never owned a set of mizuno.
Buddy
I love my scratch cb's, but in hindsight I would go for mizuno because if for some reason you don't like them you can get pretty close what you paid, take a look at the bst section and look for what a near new set of scratch goes for. I don't know which is better because I never owned a set of mizuno. I have put my custom MP 32's for sale in favor of my Scratch Classics. The MP 32's are quality forgings as were the MP14's and Mp29's I played. The Mp 32's ballooned the ball too much for me and looked too large behind the ball, especially the lofted clubs. Yes, the Scratch's will not have the resale value of the MP 32's; I purchased the Scratch's to play, not sell. They are superior in shot making and feel for me. Yes, the 1018 steel is very soft and probably subject to change; I check my specs routinely anyway. I do like their soft feel which I prefer to the MP 32's. Either club will provide very good shot making opportunity; it really is matter of personal preference...what works for me may not be the best for you. It sure is fun trying to find the solution though!
