hi guys i was wondering does anyone know if the x tour irons will acutually be released? my friend hit them in Dubai over xmas and couldnt get over them.......and he hates all callaway clubs to date!

Yes, my guess would be april teamed up with a nice phil/major championship commercial. I hit them last week and thought eh, but its a nice change from Callaway and keeps their look intact

i heard they will be introduced next week at the PGA show. No clue when they will be out in stores

I just called the big house in town. They get everything early.

They told me today that they have put in thier order and it will be in March 1st. Said the price should be around 900.00. He said he was guessing on the price.

They look good, remind me a lot like the Hiro Matsumoto's from profile.

I have a question Is it true the Tour version is all forged where as the retail only has a forged face?

i don't know why but these things have got me foaming at the mouth. :surprize: :money: I tried a set of X-18 ps and wasn't overly impressed but these things have gotten me excited. Can somebody that hit them at the demo day please chime in and tell me they're not that great, PLEASE!!! I'm seriously considering dumping my z-101's and pinching pennies to buy a set when they hit the market. Also, does anyone know what the lofts are gonna be? Roided out or a more standard set up?

I am watching the Hope and they just he announced that the X tour will be released next week. First forged club set to be sold to the public by Callaway.

Price update..My local shop is now taking orders for what they say is "March or beginning of April delivery." Price is $999.00 for 3-pw. Dynamic gold or Royal. I'm gonna wait and see rather than risk the grand.

Haven't been interested in Callaway irons since the Bobby Jones blades. These look interesting to me. Maybe it's because I'm getting old... :tired:

I talked to Cally today and can confirm this is true. I am still trying to angle for a set sooner from the tour department, but at the rate its going, might as well wait for them to be released and then dumped on Ebay for $700.

If I didn't have 4 sets and in 12 hours possibly a 5th, I'd be all over these when they come out. Look great, and will have that Cally forgiveness. Sweet.

I'm hearing that the tour models have a thinner sole than the retail. They want the retail model "easier" to hit--creating product for the non-player who wants to think of himself as a player (forged) knowing that the real player's going to buy them anyway. Hope that's not as confusing to you as it is to me. :laugh:
