Many people from Tourstage Japan have seen the satin maru's because I e-mailed it to pro support and I guess they showed the staff. Congrats to J.K for that once again.

Hmm whats new... well they are all made in Endo Thailand as we already know. I was also told they are cracking down on U.S reps selling any Japanese products.

I asked them what is the difference between the J33 vs the X-drive and they told me completely different material but made in the same factory but different process.

I asked them where the Tour Issue irons are made and they said Endo Thailand.

I asked if Bridgestone and Tourstage are made in the same factory and the answer was Yes.

I also asked why they keep better technology for the Japanese market and they said cost is to low in america.

I also asked about a new MR-23 line and was told there are no plans for that yet.

When asking if Maru will switch clubs they said he he only switched bag, headcovers and hats. everything will always stay tourstage for him.

I saw 2 very cool drivers at the show from Tourstage the X-Drive 1000cc and ViQ 1000cc....lol :surprize: they will never be made retail of course.

The X-Drive was 588g's and Maruyama was upset because he could only hit it 188 yards

1000cc's!!!!!

The ViQ Irons were a big hit, it features a progressive weighting system to help make long irons forgiving, it had a small compact topline with just a touch of offset, i was extremely impressed with how good they felt.

Hmmm what else was there....oh yeah 2005 X-Blades!! Coming late April they are using a new forging process on these. Sorry for the bad pics they were locked up and only one club was at the show.

Good stuff! 1000cc driver... so bigger is really not better! hm...

Godzilla must have taken up golf...

The new X-Blade seems a little more square than old one? Looks alone won't make me try but perhaps more details about the new forging process - multi-forged maybe?

I would be upset too if I only hit a driver 188 yards!

Those X-Blades look stunning Chris . I will now have to go back into reset mode before I decide what my next set of clubs will be

wonder what those three small triangular marks on the sole of X-blade is about?? :-D with red marks in the middle... wonder what that stands for~ maybe being squared? does that mean if the red marks is on the left hand side meaning its closed?? hehe...

Tourstage is not big here in the US, but I can honestly say that their irons are very stunning in appearance! I guess I will have to reconsider my next purchase, too...I was going to go to the Gauge blades...but those TS Blades are gorgeous, too.

Stupid me~~ :)

Thanks Joey :smile2:

1000 ccs, and 588 grams! Know wonder he could only hit 188 yds. 588 grams is almost twice the weight of an average driver! Must have felt like he was swinging a shovel.

I was able to swing it but not hit a ball. It felt like 3 golf clubs the head was so heavy the X flex shaft felt like an R.

LOL good looking stuff, and that would be a funny thing swinging around a 1000cc driver.

Somebody forgot to remind him about the lid on the 1000 cc driver. He'd forgotten that he had put a sandwich, a bottle of Gatorade, and a sleeve of golf balls inside the head before he swung it.........

  • 4 months later...

Is the 1000cc driver conforming or non-conformimg?

Ho ho ho....... only joking!

Just goes to show, the bigger is not necessarily better.
