Any moron can put a quarter mark on their 9 iron, lets see some 5 irons with a score mark...Im a club pro so I never can play with the new set I got so I am not in :wah:
March 15, 200520 yr I dont have enough wear on my 3 or 4..so here is my 5.. it's just starting to show some.. still hard to see at certain angles, but it's there.
March 15, 200520 yr I can't keep a set of clubs long enough to wear them out. Seriously...by the time my 3-iron showed enough of a mark to photograph my pitching wedge would have a hole in it big enough to hide a Reese's Pieces in. No self respecting club ho' could ever let that happen. ;)

March 15, 200520 yr No pics, but I once had a set of Mizuno TP9s, that I used as a 16 yr old scratch and county player that were amongst the most knackered ever... The 8 thru PW not only had the bottom parts of the faces worn smooth up to about the fifth groove, but you had to have a good memory as the sole stampings had disappeared. The 7 thru 5 had pretty much gone past the wear spot phase, and had 'wear areas' on the face, with virtually no grooves left and smeared numbers on the soles. The 4 thru 2 all had nice 1p piece sized wear spots.. The thimg was, I used those irons for 2 whole seasons, the latter part of the second in that state. And the performance wasn't that much affected after I regrooved the short and mids. People used to howl with laughter when they saw them. I was a pretty decent player then though, so I didn't worry too much. I've only recently changed to a set of Nikes, and they still look nearly brand new. I'll see if I can post a pic of my now-retired MP14s - the 4 and 5 are pretty worn..
