kfree1966
Currently a 9.8 index and replacing my Grads. Right now going with the MX-23s. Read about the MP-27s. They sound great, but I am not confident to go with an iron that I can't test out. I am curious on how poeple chose the MP-27s without hitting them. plus1
mp27 will be so much better than the mx23. they are forged for a starter so u will automatically feel a huge difference in the quality! second of all the 27s are japan only and are therefore rare! the sex factor!!!!! mp 27s all the way
+TourSpecGolfer
The majority of the people who buy from TSG don't hit the clubs they end up purchasing, its just too difficult until the demo testers program is up in full force, and that could be a while... I order things for myself that I have never hit all the time, I feel like i have a good enough idea of what actually works for me and what doesn't. It takes a long time as a Big Ho in order to fine tune your set making skills and preferences. The MX-23's are more forgiving but less rewarding. There are a ton of Mizuno fitters in the U.S that absolutely drool over this stuff, that is a great feeling when an expert of the Mizuno line is shown a whole new world that he never knew about. The look on their face is priceless.
FAQ
If you have to go by some kind of test... Test the 30's and test the 23's. The 27's are in between those and with more quality control. Very forgiving and also very workable.

toshman
mp-27 set up so much better than the mp-30 and mx series here in the states. they have less offset, feel more stable, but if you are happy with the mx-23 go for it. i was in japan and got to hit the mp-27 last summer, and if they were here in the states, man no telling what i would've done. good thing they have a hefty price tag, but the total customization and the options are killer and everyone working with chris says he is second to none. good luck. plus1
i stand corrected! i believe they are forged! what i was meaning to say was that the mx23s will have a much more hollow clunky feel them rather than the solid feel of the 27s! depneds on what the player is looking for .... more forgiveness or more responsive feedback! I don't know how to say how much, but I'll say that the 27's are VERY forgiving. Super easy to hit. But, they aren't chunked out and the top line isn't too thick. They have a good amount of bounce and won't dig either. Definitely keepers. I've had mine for at least 6 months. In Da Bag.
