check this out, guys passing along a so called tour issue Titleist 905, the catch is the SPEEDER shaft in it. claims it came straight out of a tour players bag, only to have a Titleist Speeder shaft??? i have serious doubts about any tour players using this garbage shaft. amatures wont even play this shaft, why would a tour pro!!! this guy has to be full of s**t!!!!

the term "tour issue" gets abused all over including ebay and the message boards.

Obviously the biggest draw would be a PGA tour issed club from a name player. Could this one be tour? Possibly but more likely a rep sample.

I've seen so much abuse of the system over the years it does not even phase me anymore. The really sad part is when you see ebay sellers peddling garbage and having perfect feedback. Just goes to show how little the buying public knows about authenticity

lol whats the odds....tour pga pro using the new Titleist speeder! if ya ask me its a waste of a job paint job!!!!!!

waste of a paint job! how about the waste of epoxy on the shaft! when i ashed him about the club, this is what i was told, "I RECEIVED THIS CLUB FROM A PLAYER WHO GOES TO THE TITLEIST PREFORMENCE CENTER OUT IN CA, THIS CLUB WAS CUSTOM BUILT FOR HIM AND IS TOUR QUALITY." quaker lane, Titleists test facilities in achushnet are 10 minutes away from my house, i contacted Cindy Delrosario whom helps me out with balls & gloves during the season & is a tour rep. she has told me that most 905's with no serial #'s are demos. i cant believe this guys is trying to con me, like i dont know my s**t. especially that he says it came out of a pga tour bag, now its a friend at the titty preformance center. whoever buys this thing is going to be :money: to him ripping people off :-)

I agree this auction looks sketch...but check the items he has sold in the past Titleist Tour...even sold a 13* Vsteel Tour with YS9.1 with a $90 buy-it-now...WTF? $90????????????

i have, but the vsteel in the pictures looks like it doesnt have paintbreak, if it does i need glasses, a 905 with Titleist Speeder out of a PGA TOUR PLAYERS BAG, a Titleist Speeder isnt even a custom option, it comes retail, the only way i see this being possible is if a Tour player lost his driver & bought this from a pro shop that had a DEMO, that is the only way.

there is def. a paint break on that v steel...and say, while your in this thread..what are your thoughts on the tour concept shaft...I play s300 in my cg1's and cg10's...and have a pretty high trajectory which I love in my long irons but tends to get knocked down pretty easy in shorter irons...think the tour concepts might change things? Also, do you feel like you are standing over a graphite shafted iron...kinda looks that way from pics I have seen. Thanks. Good luck this season...maybe I'll run into you at a few events on the NWT. Ciao

to tell you the truth i kinda like the DG X100's that i had in my RAC MB's, DG's & TC are both high kick, to bump down the ball flight i had them tipped, i dont think it would be worth changing to TC's if you just wanna change the flight. IMO just have them tipped. all the fuss about TC is that there hard to get. ibe been thinking going back to the DG SC x100's in my irons. never think its graphite cause the weight & feel is still steel, IMO. hope this helps. LAter DUDE

it is probably a demo but he is most likely calling it tour because it hasnt been released to the puiblic yet. jat

still crazy to pass it off as straight from a tour players bag & sucker someone into paying $1000 bucks for a club they could buy for $400 in a week with the same s**tty shaft. TOTAL ABUSE wouldnt you say?

Sorry in advance for my rant...

TOUR....Please!

90% of the Tour Issue clubs are still the same ol mass produced retail batch post production modified for a particular player clubs.

I don't suggest 95% of the Tour stuff out there unless I know who got it where & exactly. I only really trust one Internet Tour seller and thats Whataplayer.

Its fact that you can get Chinese/Taiwan Tour Heads from the manufacturer before it gets to the Co that orders it, with T stamps galore. That is why callaway does finishing touches in the U.S and Honma installs all golden emblems in Japan and keeps the final touches away from the factory.

Knowing that info, why would anyone believe all this stuff is authentic Tour? I'm positive its not. There are more non authorized heads in the market than their are authentic tour Issue.

There are people who can get 200 R7 tours Heads at a time for 150.00 each with T#'s. , these guys are the power players in this game, they are most often Asia employees that have factory access, funny thing is you are not allowed to enter these factories with shirts with pockets or bags to prevent steeling so its obvious its coming from a higher level, which i already know it is.

I say if you want Tour TM, buy a TP! We were already told by the VP of TM that its 100% the same except for post production mods. I would believe the Vice Pres of TM over some Toad on another site.

Taiwan has the biggest Driver factory in the world, a ton of top companies use this factory. Has anyone noticed the abundance of products that are made in Asia that are Tour Issue? Its mostly Drivers and FW's that makes sense because the most leaks are coming from the factories that make the woods.

thousands fall for it and it perplexes me, to top that off it ends up being retail at 400$ 6-months later.

Currently the new rescue, V-Steel2 and R5 Tp are scheduled for production at the factory, I heard they just finished the R7-XR's for Japan.

This is exactly why I stay out of the Tour business, my connections are too tempting, why buy an R7 tour for 500-1000 when i can get the heads at 150-200 each. It don't make sense, I also stay away because i don't want Marshall's at my door.

Funny part is many will read this and still buy more tour :-D

I have customers who will buy a 1600.00 mass produced TM driver and then complain to me about the price on an 800.00 JDM Driver that is made better, with better shaft options in less quanity with more attention to detail :o

I dont even want to begin to talk about what how some OEMS use the word proto now days

great info, to add on that my tour reps @TM & i know others that work for TM get MOSTLY "tour issue" products with the Txxxxx & other non issue retail serial's. but titleist "tour" stuff is the same as retail. as for TM, the R7 shallow & at the moment the R5 dual TP(unless it is released) like the xd TP's are not available at retail & are less likely to be scammed by these "EBAY ABUSERS".

Is there not a way to have his item taken off ebay, in terms of getting in touch with ebay itself?

Can't see how action wouldn't have to be taken if that sort of money's going to be posted up to people that don't know about golf clubs.

Apart from the 970, there was another notable Titleist tour only club -driver, the 975D 5.5 degree drivers were Tour only / Long Driving team issue... these weren't available to the general public, 6.5 was the lowest loft in the Titleist catalog in the late 90's although their archive page now shows the 5.5 degree model.

Since they bought over Cobra, they don't do these L.D head any more.... but the Cobra 450 SZ is the L.D team choice now, with 3 non standard lofts down to 5 degrees.
