March 29, 200519 yr Does anyone have any experience with this club?It looks like a sweet club and might be a great addition to my bad. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks DA FAQ just ordered one, I have 2 on order myself with my custom grind mizzys. I hit them at a demo spree near Tokyo and it was basically a better feeling easier to hit Mizuno CLK. This version has the rail in the sole and 17g's of tungsten weighting located inside the head. I custom ordered mine with NS-1150 Tour stiff and it will be a while before i get it. We have exactly 7 other lurking members that have purchased this club. Let hope some come out to share.
March 29, 200519 yr Author When you hit it at demo day, which loft did you hit and how do these compare to the TM rescue TP. Thanks DA
April 2, 200519 yr Author c'mon somebody has hit it or owns one. Want to sell a 17* PM Please help me out
April 4, 200519 yr I'm also interested in getting these I just can't decide between 2 mp-ux2, or 1 ux2, and 1 ux1. Chris how long until these come out with nippon 1150, and how much?
April 4, 200519 yr I just got mine today (#3 20* w/ NS 950) and took it out to the range to try it out. I have the 20* CLK that I had reshafted with the Rifle Hybrid shaft so I can compare. These are finished nicer than the CLK's and looking over the club, I noticed that the UX head is slightly smaller to my eye than the CLK. Also, the CLK has no tungsten insert. The main difference is that while the CLK is easy to hit, the UX2 is much easier to hit and out of the grass it's even better. It glides through the turf better than the CLK. The club is about 5 yards longer than the CLK for me, but it's probably due to the light shaft although the face is a little hotter. I'm able to swing the Nippon Steel 950 shaft a little faster and it has aproximately the same trajectory as the Rifle. Drop, bounce once and stop. Great club. I'm very happy with it.
April 4, 200519 yr That is great to finally hear a decent review on this I was waiting for someone to try it out. FAQ did you have a chance to try the mp-ux1?
April 4, 200519 yr That is great to finally hear a decent review on this I was waiting for someone to try it out. FAQ did you have a chance to try the mp-ux1? I'm pretty sure they are all called the MPUX2, but just with different lofts. Mine is called the MPUX2 but it has a 3 on it and 20*. I haven't tried the other lofts though.
April 5, 200519 yr The ux1 is the driving iron. Ah Sorry, I misunderstood, I don't care for driving irons. I prefer the Hybrid Woods. I posted the entire review and photos in the review section here. Here's a few photos of the UX2 I have...
April 5, 200519 yr What don't you like about driving irons? How would you say they play compared to the iron replacement?
April 5, 200519 yr What don't you like about driving irons? How would you say they play compared to the iron replacement? I've had a few different driving irons. I just prefer the mini woods rather than the bulkier irons. Just a personal thing I guess. I hit the Hybrid's better. They are longer than the 3 iron that I pulled out for this. More versatile for me. Easier to hit.
April 5, 200519 yr How does the ux2 perform with the 950? I have the 904 in my heavenwood how would the 950 compare?
April 5, 200519 yr Author FAQ thank you for the review. I have decided I am going to get on in the 17*. This might be a stupid question but is it legal? And can I get it with a PX6.0 DA
April 5, 200519 yr FAQ thank you for the review. Â I have decided I am going to get on in the 17*.This might be a stupid question but is it legal? And can I get it with a PX6.0 DA If you want a custom shaft it will take about 3 weeks extra. I suggest the NS950, they also have a good graphite Tour Spirit shaft as an option for a lil more. Shaft upgrades are often expensive from Mizuno, especially PX and TC.
April 5, 200519 yr Author So I would be better off just getting it in steel and having hot stixx here in scottsdale do it?
April 6, 200519 yr So I would be better off just getting it in steel and having hot stixx here in scottsdale do it? It's legal. A note about reshafting - If you want to end up with a steel shaft buy a head with steel from Mizuno. Same with graphite. If you want to end up reshafting with graphite buy a graphite one from Mizuno. I'm almost positive that the heads are weighted differently depending on the shafts.
