jack0428
At the 3 hour lunch today(lunch, NOT dinner....!), we had six different kinds of top flight red wines(2 bottles of each kind): #1. Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1982 - 100(Robert Parker Rating) - USD1000 per bottle #2. Chateau Haut Brion 1986 - 94 - USD300+ per bottle #3. Chateau Latour 1986 - 90 - USD300+ per bottle #4. Chateau Margaux 1982 - 98 - USD900 per bottle #5. Chateau Cheval Blanc 1982 - 99 - USD1150 per bottle To top them off, the last one is... #6. Chateau Le Pin 1989 - 96 - USD1800 per bottle #1 was extraordinary & shadowed #2 & 3. However, #4 truly lived up to its reputation & brought on a new sensation. #5 was indeed exceptional. #6 was simply out-of-this-world. Since I can still memorize all these, I'm not drunk at all. I dare not to think about the total value of all these fine wine now sitting in my stomach(& bladder). Just for the record, this luncheon will be well remembered. raynman619
How the heck do we get and invitation to a lunch like that? :surprize: I love wine but I can't see myself spending $1800 on a bottle! That's like 4-5 tour issued drivers I could be using!

shoe295
Now if only there would be a fine scotch lunch like that. I had many a fine scotch lunch that turned into a great scotch dinner followed by a marvelous scotch desert leading to a painful scotch sunrise..
