vokester
i knew the toe lines were square, but i think those are too square for my liking. after seeing the first pic of the newport, i was thinking that tiger was using somethinig with a shorter hosel, and the sightdot, not the newport with round bumpers, but all those putters are sweet
+TourSpecGolfer
How'd you get those pics, Chris? Thanks! I purchased the Irons and Driver and these were the pics the seller sent me. last year I purchased the JDI Driver in a glass/wood case with the same authenticity sheet from the same seller. This kinda stuff only sells in Japan. :money:

What I meant was stuff like the JDI and TW-Titleist Forged MB's etc will only sell in japan. Nike makes like 4 or 5 in the world and IMO 2-3 make it to Nippon. Tigers back up putters also, someone in Japan must have a great relationship with scotty to get those. Funny how some of the great putter makers started off at Mizuno. BTW does U.S have Els limited MB's and VJ Limited TA1's?
chainsaw
TA-1's yes, saw them for sale somewhere but can't recall where. The Ernie set, this is the first I've heard of it......
primo
My frien just picked up the irons, I hit them on the range the other day, they are money, but not very forgiving at all. I'm pretty happy though, cause he was playing mp-33's before played to about a 6 handi to my 9, which usually played out and I lost... now he's more like an 11 muahahahahhahahahahahaha
SPEEDER
So do the tiger clubs actually have a different grind ?? The stock set has a pretty square toe also ???
ErichF
I know or have met a guy in Temecula Cali. He works with Scotty. Scotty sells the putters to him and he sells them to Japan. He is Scotties man for getting putters to Japan. I have putted with Tigers Back Up GSS. The topline was too thin so Tiger Rejected it. He pays alittle for it. Marks it up a few grand and then it sold for $50,000 in Japan. A guy in Cali, in LA also has a backup. But it isnt as nice at the other one I putted with but its also $50,000. That is how the stuff gets to Japan. Simple. Just like Jim Butler at Table rock. Titleist sells it to Jim and Jim resells it. Scotty doesnt sell it out of his pocket that is illegal. Titleist sends them an invoice and they pay for it. But they put in the request through Scotty. Cheers,
thsgolfer61
i love those putters, especially the tei3 like someone said above!!! :finger: drew
primo
I thought that Plaza golf got that putter from DaDriver. I'm pretty sure I remember DaDriver selling that putter to that guy at Plaza. The 50k price tag means it's not really for sale...
aussiefreddy
I saw the Vijay set on ebay here in Australia and I think I also saw it on the UK Ebay site. I was a bees d**k away from buying it here in Australia as I'm a big fan of the Fijian. If I remeber correctly the set consisted of 3-pw TA1 Gunmetal finish and it came with Cleveland 900 wedges in standard bounce Gunmetal finish it had the red dots to state what bounce. It was fitted I think with DG S400 shafts. It had a certificate stating that this set was exactly what VJ uses I was a bit hesitatnt because I know for a fact VJ uses Apollo Hump shafts in his irons not DG. CPSOX
Scotty got his start w/ Ray Cook, not Mizuno. Secondly, most of the '97 Tiger victory putters were sold through Titleist reps here in the States, not Japan. The 1/6 Tiger victory putters were sold through Tablerock and yes, the $50,000 putter at Plaza Golf is for sale.....just about 20k too high for the current market. BigEasy
How exactly do you know that a putter is Tiger's backup putter? For exacmple, are the ones with Tiger's name on bumps the real deal?
