pigpen
I need to know which one is better. Why? And suggestions for loft to replace a 2 iron 5 wood. My gap to be filled is based off a 15* 3 wood. Also, what is the tip size. I was hoping to stick a GAT 105LB in it which is a .355 taper tip. thanks sorry, I guess I should have looked down to see TSGers post. inquiry on tip size still stands though

TSGirl will chime in also because she plays both and swears by them.
mrzodia
Well i have like 4 FUTs 2 U2's, 1 U3, 1 U4. All are ns pro stiff except for one of the u2's. I.M.O. the steel shafted ones are way better than the graphite ones. These clubs are SWEET. s**t if they made a U1 i'd be sure to cop that s**t and throw out the three wood. Babies are easy to hit, go the distance, and very controlable. Mother f*ing lovely.
Randy
I have a FUT U2 that replaced my 3wd. It may be a little shorter hitting, but not much, however I have a lot more confidence in it. Wish they made the ViQ in 16 degree loft. Randy
HipCheck
I have 2 FUTs. Both NS Pro Steel. The 16° has a FW shaft in it so it plays a little longer, more like a 1 iron or 5 wood. Other is a 19° w/stock. Plays just like a 3 iron. Awesome club. Great off the tee, fairway, rough and sand. Fantastic chipping club too. Just ridiculously easy to hit from anywhere. Never tried graphite, but never cared for graphite in any hybrid I've hit.
+TourSpecGolfer
Here we go guys, Pictures all taken and TSgirl and I even played our favorite par 5 3 times in a row using the ViQ and F-UT on every wood shot just to figure out its differences. We started by bouncing balls off the face. The ViQ has a more high pitched sound while the F-UT sounds more of a lower pitch metalic sound. They are visually very similar and the differences seem to be in its vibration and feel along with some very interesting performance differences. The ViQ feels muted at a high pitch with less vibration running up the head up to shaft then grip. The F-UT which also felt good, vibrated much more each time the ball met the face. Distance is also affected by the turbo rubber feels like the ball is pushed off the face more than the F-UT. I play X100 soft step in my Utility clubs and the U5 ViQ in graphite Stiff went as long as my U3 w/X100 :surprize: but not as controlled yet with a softer landing. They both are super easy to hit from almost any lie. One is not easier to hit than the other. I do think the ViQ transfers energy more efficiently off its face than the F-UT. Today we tested the F-U3 & U4 vs the ViQ U4 & U5. If you have hit the X-Drive you already know Turbo Rubber works and im sure you could imagine how these sweet utilities perform. ViQ on Left - F/UT on Right ViQ on Top
mrzodia
eh idk about you, but to me the n.s. pro's play way better than the x-100's. thats just my opinion.
pigpen
Thanks for the review and comparsion. Looks like the ViQ with graphite at 19* is what I want/need. I also like the look of the ViQ a little better. Looks a little more rounded. BTW - which of the two sits more square. I noticed that the ViQ draws a little. Does this mean hook machine? I would love to hit and hit them both (side by side). Oh well, the draw backs of not traveling to Japan.

Any NSpro + Tourspecgolfer = Balloon. NSpro is the last shaft I would play in Hawaii's strong winds, not only for that reason but also the stock UT clubs with NS in Japan are a full half inch shorter than U.S standards but to each is own. BTW - which of the two sits more square. I noticed that the ViQ draws a little. Does this mean hook machine? They both sit the same at address. ashryan8888
I have the 19* and 22* FUT with NSPro950. The 19* is my 5 wood/2 iron club and the 22* replaced my 3 iron. To me they are the best rescue club on the market. I would like to replace the shaft for the 19* to graphite and make it a little longer to better fill in gap between the 3 wood and the 22* FUT. pitbull808
PIGPEN..........The tipsize on the F/UT U3 that I have is 355 taper. I installed a Fujikura 904HB X in it and it worked excellently. Although the 904HB is a 370 tip, a good clubfitter can sand it down to fit the 355 with no problems....this is PER Fujikura.
