Hey all,

My father is a long time JDM whore (Maruman, Honma, Mizuno, etc) and unfortunately, I am not. Even though I've been playing with a set of Miz 14's for the past 10 years, I've never really got into the Japan Domestic Market stuff.

Here's my dilemna; my father's 65th birthday is next month and when my sister asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he mumbled something like "S Driver". I have no idea what he could be referring to and have searched high and low for this "S Driver". He did state that this driver was well over $1,000USD and was hard to get.

If anyone could shed any light onto this mysterious S driver for me, I'd really appreciate it!!

Thanks!!

Got some more information. It's the Seiko S-Yard driver.

Anyone know of a place in the states that carries this? I've called a dozen shops in the metropolitan NY area and have found only one establishment. They do not carry any of the 'newer' models, and only the TX1 and TX2 type models.

Thanks,

Brian

You've come to the right place. We can get all JDM Golf Merchandise including the S-Yard Driver straight from Japan.

I'll send you a PM.

Chris will take of you purchase wise. If you want to now how they perform though I have hit a few models but not the latest ones.

IMHO though if he is spending $1k get him the new Honmas. Even though Honma went under last month their last few products were very very good for the slower SS golfer with lots of $$$. The latest 420RF something comes to mind. We have a fellow TSG'r friend with a 4 star 420RF that even though he can hit well I know is willing to part with it.

IIRC Honma filed last June 20?

Which model does he have of the 460RF? There are a couple.

Honma>Syard is from my experience with these clubs and people with slower SS. The S Yards might be a tad longer but are harder to hit consistently. Also craftmanship, finish, and durability seem to be better on genuine Honma products.
