I've looked all over the net and I can't find a chart for this. I know that most fuji stiff shafts recomend between 90mph - 100 /105 mph for a driver swing.

Anyone know about the Diamana stiff?

diamana stiff flex IMHO is not stiff at all.....there is mucho feel and kick in the shaft and if you swing more than 100 i personally would recommend going to an x

i concur...the diamana is the weakest x flex i have ever tried!

The Diamana shafts feel extremely weak just waggling them. Seems like most of us would need an X.

So with a 114mph swing speed you would need a X flex tipped?

It depends on which diamana you are referring to. The 83 is stiffer than the 63/73. Also I don't think you can go by the chart. Would you give the same shaft to someone who swings 90 the same as someone who swings 105?

just have installed a diamana 63 stiff shaft in my brand new callaway FT3 tour driver, the result is more than great .... :love: my driver swing is between 95 ~ 100, which is matching this shaft 100% :smile2:

glad to hear its working for you! my ss is on ave just above 100.....touching 105 and the 63 s was slightly to weak......however the shaft still performed great and the feel was awesome!

ps godfather, i know you are right in saying that the 83 is stiffer than the 63 however, when i tried the two together i still got the same results! the 83 s still felt too weak for me! :cool:

Good old Ely used to label shafts stronger than what they really were.............. the more things change the more they stay the same!!

I play the Diamana 83 and my SS is 101. Fits like a glove.

i play the 83 in s flex and i really wish i had gone with the x my ss is around 115-120

My ss is 105mph avg. I have a 63 Stiff in my driver and find that it plays a bit soft. I would have tipped it a bit knowing what know now.

scraper with a 105 i would have said to go with an x untipped in the 63 and an s tipped half an inch in the 83!

for your swing speed i feel the 63 s is just too soft! bet your hitting her very high! this is what i found happened...

i'm getting a diaman 83 in an r5 TP. swing speed is 110, smooth swing with action at the bottom of thw swing. X flex? i hate getting the wrong flex.

My advice would be to get a cpm read out once the shaft is installed. If you know a good clubmaker he may test a couple for you.

I guess the jist of the whole thread is the Diamanas play softer than label.

it depends on how you want the shaft to feel. my driver swing speed is 100-105 and the s flex in both 63 and 83 felt to soft and launched the ball too high! for my i personally felt like an x untipped was the correct flex for me......having said this i believe the softest you should go is an untipped x! :cool:

Diamana 73 X-Flex at a 114mph swing speed. Tip it or not? And if you tip it will it bring the ball flight down?

I play Diamana 73X. untipped 45" on a R7 head.

my swing ss is around 107-110

I have no issues with it. S flex felt a bit softer.

Just got new diamana 63 in stiff. It is an untipped install and it measured 244 CPM which is senior flex not stiff which should run 260 cpm. So, based on complaints heard from my friends and this board, I can conclude that diamana runs soft. Highly suggest your installer to simulate flex frequency if your Diamana shaft with dummy head before installing your club head. It's an expensive shaft to get the flex wrong.
