I know some of the gd shafts play soft like the w-60 so I just wanted to know how an m-85 x would play. I have around a 100-105 ss, but I can crank it up a little more.

I suggest the M85 X for 110 - 115mph and slightly higher. The M85 is a stout shaft IMO, I used to play an S in my FW and it worked fabulouso, very tight dispersion and it kept my hitting tempo tame and smooth.

would you say the 65 & 75 play similar in flex?

trying to find out more myself. i know the specs but curious how they actually play. looking to get a rc fw w/ the 75 but not sure to go s or x.

have a ut-85 stiff in the gauge utility iron and thought it played weak. that's why i'm trying to sell it. interested

I know that my name isn't Rick, but I will tell you that this is my best experience so far from Graphite Design. I have had the W-65, PM702, M-85, and M-65. This one is the easiest to shape shots how I want. I have taken a little off of my swing, but I feel very smooth through contact, not whippy. Excellent shaft IMO. Hope this helps a lil'.
