migoi
In reading the write up on the Axiv it says that some golfers have realized a 10-25 yard distance gain in their drives. If this is the case this shaft would compete quite well against what we have been hearing about the distance gained from the thousand dollar Ozik shafts. If this is the case this shaft would compete quite well against what we have been hearing about the distance gained from the thousand dollar Ozik shafts. I have yet to try the Ozik, but the Axiv has honestly given me more distance. I would say a realistic 10 yds over the diamana and rombax. I have seen with my own eyes top amatuers in both hawaii and Japan claiming 25 yards. Right now several of Japans top ranked JPGA players are claiming the same thing. The hard part is to figure out the flex rating that fits you best. The first two numbers are the weight and the next two are the flex rating....I think? the 6064 is 60 grams and 6.4 flex and 68 is 6.8 flex. In my experience the 6060 needs to be tipped a half inch to play at 6.0 flex. Its kinda hard to figure out but once you get it figured out, you will love the shaft. I would love to buy an Ozik if someone will give me a good price on one.

deman
I picked up a AXIV 6064M and had it installed in a R7 tour. I played with it for the first time yesterday and have nothing but good news about the shaft. Great feel and stability. I had my best driving day in a long time. I believe it was longer than my others drivers but more importantly it was very accurate. I only missed 2 fariways on a tight driving course and that was by a couple of feet on the correct side. I believe as my confidence builds with this club I will see even greater distance. The hype about these shafts may just be real.

Not in a DFI, I have had it in the ERC HOT, R7XR, W505,PRGR TR-X, Cleveland Comp and R7. For me the best results were with the TR-X and some lead tape. It had a wicked strong kick and the flight had a double launch to it :surprize: up, up, then at its peak another spin upward. Axivs are awesome shafts if you can find a flex or tipping that suits your swing properly.

As always I'm sure you will be very subjective.
wmclarenf1
How is the dispersion on the Axiv? If this a low torque shaft? Mid kick? Tip soft/stiff? Butt Soft/stiff?

Let's see which one is better! poekie no its a 6564m! excellent shaft, lots of feel and lots of carry. this flex was too stiff for me however, but i could still tell it was an awesome shaft. this is a hidden treasure that chris has uncovered! I thought our swing speeds (100-105mph) to be about the same, so I'm interested that you found the 6.4 too stiff. Was it tipped? :tsg_smilie_confused:
poekie
what i remember from +1 that it's not tipped. Still have to try, maybe tomorrow if the weather is better :(
+TourSpecGolfer
FYI guys, These shafts are available in dark blue or orange. again just to clarify, the first two numbers are weight the second is flex rating. I play the 6064 untipped or the 6060 tipped. Here are some images of the orange and how the ratings on this shaft are displayed. Also dont forget you can select your own kick point. L,M, or H models are available in every make.
