This will be interesting !!! JET need to know what you are looking for in terms of feel, kick, distance, consistancy and flight!
December 12, 200519 yr comment_110342 need to know what you are looking for in terms of feel, kick, distance, consistancy and flight! Yep. SS also helpful.
December 13, 200519 yr Author comment_110343 1 hdc, ss 105, not a high hitter, wishing to get higher, a swinger not a hitter. Looking for distance, but controled dispersion. Straight flighter today but would like to be able to force a draw if required. Prefer soft to "too" stiff in terms of feel

Prefer soft to "too" stiff in terms of feel +1 is really much better at this than I - but it sounds to me like the Axiv 6564M would be an excellent shaft to try. It's a very easy loading and kicking shaft. In fact, if I had to describe the Axiv in one word I would struggle between choosing LONG or SMOOTH.

In fact, if I had to describe the Axiv in one word I would struggle between choosing LONG or SMOOTH. very true the axiv is long and smooth, but if you really are a swinger and you are launching the ball too low, then one thing is certain.....you need a low kick shaft! By having a low kick shaft this will help launch the ball the optimal height equating to extra distance! This being the case i can only really think of two shafts that would suit you down to the ground...... 1. Graphite Design W60 stiff untipped. 2. Tour Ad M55 Both of these have soft tips, carry miles and feel silky smooth yet solid! If it is an axiv you desperately want then imo FOR YOU i would reccommend a 6060L (low kick) and tip it very slight ly ie max half inch. :tsg_smiley_yes: :tsg_smilie_cool:
December 13, 200519 yr comment_110445 Plus 1, what kind of launch angle does the M-55 have? Any suggestion for the flex for an 85 mph swing? R1?
December 13, 200519 yr comment_110456 Jet, W60 stiff no tipping since it is a mid torque, low kick point & soft tip which translate into a higher ball flight. You cannot go wrong with the dispersion characteristic of GD shafts ... tight!
December 13, 200519 yr comment_110462 Its cool to see everyones different suggestions. JET, can you tell me what shaft your playing now and what is happening? I would recommend these 3 options for your 105 SS and a higher trajectory. - Axiv 6064L If your swing speed is a solid 105. - Diamana Red, very easy to hit and will get the ball up quick - Graphite Design M55 or W60 both have higher trajectories and are user friendly
December 13, 200519 yr comment_110512 go graphite design. im truely delighted with the results im getting with the shafts! great combo of distance and accuracy. :tsg_smilie_cool:
