Posted December 14, 200519 yr The new 900MD by PRGR was just released on the 10th. The MD stands for mid size blade or what I would call a neo blade. Review to come when the weather gets better.
December 14, 200519 yr Ooooooooooo, Now that's a nice looking (neo)blade. I wonder if it'll be forgiving? Chris, how thick is the top line?
December 14, 200519 yr The new 900MD by PRGR was just released on the 10th. The MD stands for mid size blade or what I would call a neo blade. Review to come when the weather gets better. D-O-P-E. Would love to hear how these compare to the Gauge MB2s. :tsg_smilie_smile:
December 14, 200519 yr these look super sweet. they are a neo blade, similar to the mb2s. ie they hide the small cavity they have very well! PRGR are reknown for their forgiveness so i doubt these will be any different! i can see these being a popular item for 06........! MUCH SEXIER THAN PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS FROM PRGR! :tsg_smilie_cool:
December 16, 200519 yr Like to hear opinions on PRGR irons...anybody?? is the foirging very good?? How do these compare to mizuno in quality and feel???
December 16, 200519 yr i have never had a set myself, but from reding reviews on TSG i get the impression that the forged models are soft, fast of the face, stron lofts which means they fly! Also PRGR are known for their quality and forgiveness so i dont see why this set should be any different! cant wait till chris gets his and does us all a review! :tsg_smilie_cool:
December 16, 200519 yr I think the chrome just looks amazing on these irons. they remind me of my original 300's in the way they just look so soft. Also, good to see a company going chrome again especially as everyone seems to be going satin... :tsg_smilie_cool:
January 18, 200619 yr As far as an opinion on PRGR as a whole, I have the 900 TR forged and have never been happier with any club, putter, driver, etc. ever. I tried a friend's and had to get a set. I was a die hard Japan Dunlop ho to that point...XXIO, Srixon. I have no idea about these new ones but the 900 TR forged are wonderful and it was unthinkable that I would stop being a club ho but I wouldn't replace my irons with anything right now.
January 19, 200619 yr PRGR makes the best looking irons on the market at this point. What a club! It's nice to see a notch-back like the old Justin Leonard Hogan irons from thew nineties. I really glad these guys aren't in the US market. Would make my life difficult.
January 19, 200619 yr anyone get to try these or the 910's, cause i need a new set before golf season ASAP and i gotta dump the NC-1's.
January 21, 200619 yr anyone get to try these or the 910's, cause i need a new set before golf season ASAP and i gotta dump the NC-1's. errr. why do you have to dump the nc-1s?
January 21, 200619 yr really not feeling them now. plus golf season is coming and i need something to boost my confidence, what better than a new set of clubs. so if anyone's interested in them i'll be willing to let them go and test out the 900MD's so that i can give you all a thorough review :tsg_smilie_wink: . That doesn't mean i'll let these go for a lowball price. Don't get me wrong, There's nothing wrong with the GD NC-1's, no , not at all. They're real solid. FU*KING SOLID infact. You definately can't beat the quality or feel. It's just i'm looking for something somewhat like my old mp-32's, and Chris suggested these. They're in superb condition, so if anyone's interested, just shoot me a PM. : ).
January 23, 200619 yr I really love the looks and the design of the irons I am really interested in these since im back in the saddle again with golf. How is the offset or face progression of these irons? Great pics though and very nice :tsg_smilie_confused:
