I am currently playing the 2005 Tab400 9.0 with a Tour AD. It's a wonderful combination and I couldn't be happier. Actually very reasonable since Wilson doesn't have that great a draw as far as Japanese consumers.

As far as an opinion on PRGR as a whole, I have the 900 TR forged and have never been happier with any club, putter, driver, etc. ever. I tried a friend's and had to get a set. I was a die hard Japan Dunlop ho to that point...XXIO, Srixon. I have no idea about these new ones but the 900 TR forged are wonderful and it was unthinkable that I would stop being a club ho but I wouldn't replace my irons with anything right now.

It is one of the longest, most powerful drivers I have ever hit...in the HR version with a Tour AD M-65. I borrowed a friend's, who was here from Japan. If you don't care, get the HR version. That said, I do believe you need to be a pretty good player to begin with. It's 405 CC's.

Thanks a bunch for the reply. It's the iron type. The Fuji pull is likely from a FW length head as it's not long enough to be pulled from a driver. So how would I know which end to tip/cut to get to the desired length?? Would a reputable clubmaker know that or would they be just guessing? How much are NS steel shafts for hybrids/FW's? I have a PRGR 200I head and a Fuji 661 TS pull from a friend. Would they be a good combination? Aloha and thank you for any opinions!

Plus-Heck, if I could do that, I'd get a Shi NO Boo GJ! Seen it. Maybe the coolest JG I've ever seen. Yeah, we all could have got one a while back but I had my Eldik at that time. Aloha all!

Hey Plus....can I borrow your ONE? Never tried it! LOL If you've had them both and prefer the JG, I might have to give it a shot. I REALLY wish it didn't have the damn sight line though.

Plus, GDO-Guys, guys...c'mon now. Let's put things in perspective for a second. J Gauge can put out a zillion abbreviatiions, models, etc. every other week and that's peachy. I've tried them, like them and they're one of the highest end manufacturers out there. But inserts, milling marks, materials, etc.....what about them? I'd really be flippin my wig if Tiger, Ernie, DLIII, etc junked their putters for milling marks, inserts, ingots, etc. Last I checked, they aren't casting their putters aside for the 2005 Camerons that have inserts, screws, GSS, etc. The second I got my friend's CT Cameron, it became my gamer. It's one piece of metal finely made into a putter not improved by all sorts of other technology. So leave it to me to stand by my Eldik as the most effective JG for my stroke.

Powerfade-let me venture some comments (if JLB will let me..lol, just kidding). Basically the teflon(ish) or "whatever" material it's called has a very nice click and feel to it. It's clearly different than metal/steel, milled or otherwise. So due to the double bend shaft, the color (which frames the ball very nicely and the material, it's a great putter..even though it's the original. I'm not using mine at this time having received a CT Cameron from a good friend but I have tried the lot in Japan, they're rock solid putters as far as MOI's are concerned and you can't go wrong with any.

What interesting responses. I have tried various Eldik models and without a doubt, like the original model. I, like so many, are conditioned to believe that newer is better, but that simply isn't the case WITH ME (removed "here" for JLB-happy now?). The Eldik design, with the double bend shaft is very easy to look at. The black color contrasts very well and is easy to aim. The material of the original is BEST for me as it produces a nice, clean, crisp click and release of the ball. The rest is marketing, something new to throw out there, etc IMO. Add to JLB-yep, tried it at Manna CC in Chiba. It may be a surprise to you that someone might have a preference different than yours!? Gee, I just have to be mistaken if I disagree with you.

XXIO-I would guess M-46.

XXIO-they are as the other poster stated. My first try with them was with a friend's set, I hit them perfectly so I have not tried any other flexes. All-let us know what you decide!

Aluinser-No, my irons are not limited release to the best of my knowledge. Sorry about the previous typo...my irons are the TR Model 900 with stock M-43 steel shafts. Anyway, they perform far better than the I-302's with DG S300 steel shafts that I used to have...gave them to my Dad. The PRGR's look blade like but are very, very accurate and easier to hit than they look. ASSUMING newer is better, the new PRGR's may be worth a look.

Aluinser-Yes, never hit the I404's...weren't out at the time. I had XXIO Impact Power Face before that but was a hook, line and sinker J Dunlop ho...BS, Miz had/has nothing on them to this day IMO. But I tried a friend's TP 900's and was hooked. PRGR makes wonderful equipment and anyone would sell themselves short by not trying/considering them.

Nope, exactly the opposite. I previously played with I-302's being a major Japan Dunlop ho. I switched to PRGR Model 900's IMMEDIATELY after hitting a friend's that were equipped with the M-43 steel shafts. So don't join the masses!

No, no....Kasco DD-Four! Check it out. 400cc's and they can be had cheap! You will wake up a driving range and draw a crowd hitting that thing. It's great but non-conforming.

FYI all-the absolute easiest LW I have ever used is the 900J....a steel/silver wedge with the middle/face a copper color. Never saw anything like it in my life and to this day, the most idiotproof wedge made. The perfect LW for anyone afraid of the sand, chili dipping, blading a ball across a green. It's one amazing club.

putter sold at 34" but it's clearly longer (maybe 35"). My question involves the impact of shortening the shaft by an inch. Does it affect the stroke, weight, swingweight, etc. in any way other than the physical aspect of the shaft being 1 inch shorter? Does a clubfitter do anything to address that? Is a stock 34" putter by any major brand different than a stock 35" and if so how (other than the physical length of the shaft)? In other words, is cutting a 35" putter resulting in the same putter as buying the same model at 34"? I guess that's my basic question. Thank you so much all!

They are very, very good putters and absolutely idiotproof. It took me some time to get used to it but it strokes very well and the ball comes off the face dead straight. I have not used a putter AT ALL that is easier to aim. But I am presently using a Mills custom and it's the only putter that could keep my P2 solution out of my bag.

David friggin Mills, period. NOWHERE else will you get equal bang for the buck. Absolutely nowhere. His personal involvement, attention to detail and finished product will cost much more with anyone else IMO.

Kudos to Pureblade. I've used the same Aero Spark Tee since I got it from a Japanese friend about 4 months ago. As far as I know, there are two lengths and in Japan, all white (as pictured) or 3 colored tees (not for me). They're wonderful, perfectly consistent height and you'll never have to look for it.

If Yokohama, I'd suggest IBS. You should find everything you are looking for there. If shopping retail, I'd suggest Ameyoko between Ueno and Okachimachi stations. There are at least a handful of retailers all of which have better prices than the Victorias, etc.
