gauge design forged L

saw the putter yesterday. tried it and felt like a very balanced putter. just wondering how different is the L compared to anser style putter (characteristics, sweet spot, ease of alignment, offset...etc) . currently i am using MG-05 by hiro matsumoto. thanks

I have both the Gauge Design forged L and the "One" anser style putter. The forged L is of course heel shafted so a bit more toe flow than the anser. the feel is great, comparable with the One. the shaft is about one shaft offset to it. Alignment is excellent. All around a great putter, as long as you are not trying to perrfect a straight back straight through putting stroke, in which case a face balanced would be better.

Plus the original forged L is about 340 grams (may be less). I'm thinking of having 2 steel ingots be added to bring the head up to about 360 grams which then would give it a better feel. The forged L has minimal offset and would be a great putter for those liking the old Wilson 8802 blade putter.

thanks for all your input. btw, saw a CUSTOM MADE hiro matsumoto MZ-60 in black teflom finish, similar to the MG-05 i currently use. slight modification is the welded neck, similar to the cameron santa fe. fortunately, owner allowed me to have a few putts. MY GOD. what a putter!!!! perfect balance, soft feel and rolls very very nice. unfortunately (not that i could afford it), it has already been sold for a mere sum of usd8,000. custom made by MR. MATSUMOTO himself (start to finish takes about 1 month). said to myself, one day, hopefully i could have a custom made putter by MR. MATSUMOTO.

The forged L is a putter made for people with some arc in their putting stroke. There is 10 pieces being made of a Pro Division model with 4 mini ingots on the face, different color fill and grip scheme, and Pro Division engraved on the sole.

I will try to get a couple for the regulars and post pics.
