dorkman53
Chris: How would you compare the feel, control, and overall playability between these four shafts? What is the weight of the Shimada, and what is the kickpoint and tip stiffness? Thanks in advance for your usual candid input. +TourSpecGolfer
Chris:How would you compare the feel, control, and overall playability between these four shafts? What is the weight of the Shimada, and what is the kickpoint and tip stiffness? Thanks in advance for your usual candid input. Please remember each golfer will like each individual shaft differently based on their swing. That said this is my take on the shafts you requested: NS 950 - To light and soft for me, felt the head weight a tad better but not to my liking. In utility woods they are one of my favorites. NS1150 Tour - My favorite shaft, good feel that has a nice and smooth kick, doesnt balloon like other NS shafts and gave me increased distance, I can even play the X flex and get a tighter kick with a slightly lower flight. Im currently playing S. Shimada - I have not played it yet but am told they are the oldest shaft company in Japan. They have many different models that i do plan on giving a try very soon. Lennie would know more about it than I. I am waiting for spec sheets. Tour Concept - Not good with my swing, not only did i hit higher shots that were less accurate but i lost distance vs the NS1150. lots of really high draws for me and at times i could hook irons, Im a fan of tight iron shots. acrazygolfer
Similar to Chris, I do like the 1150 for its feel and distance. Prior to the 1150, I played with the standard Dynamic Gold S300 and the 8 iron distance was about 140 ... with the 1150, it's now 150'ish with a bit lower ball flight. However, unlike Chris, I do like the 950 in the Zodia KM Tour US Spec in the 56* and 59* bent to 60* since I like higher ball flight and softer landing in the wedges without having to open the club face. dorkman53
So, do the AC 10's only come in .370"? Does that mean that the Epon irons are .370" instead of .355"?
