The SRIXON ZR-600 from Japan

Gorgeous driver with a premium shaft to boot! Spoke to the local distributor, no word if the driver and irons will make it out of Japan.

These will be Japan only, as all of the srixon japan range have been in the past. I am sure that the us market will bring out something around the same time, like in previous years ie 506 vs 505. However if you were to compare the two the japan versions would kick ass!

Is it just me or do the grooves look angled (not parallel) to the ground?

Or the driver has a raised toe, My old Shimano driver - Ultegra X had a high toe.

I thought the exact same thing, however it may be one of two things, or even a combo of both-

1) the club has a higher, raised toe area than the heel, which leaves the impression that there is more of a gap between the top groove and the topline.

2) The club has a rounded sole, rather than a flatish sole, making the bottom groove, look un parallel to it.

Both of these are the likely contributors to these grooves that look out of place lol!

or MAYBE - this is a new japanese technology that strategically places the grooves at a funny angle o make us hit the ball a further 30 and hit more fairways lol! :tsg_smilie_rolleyes: :tsg_smilie_confused:

Some how i dont think so,......... :tsg_smilie_whistle:

Had lots of Pro's love this club, not only for its small pear like shape but more so because of the lower flight with less spin it gave. The ball speed numbers were higher than anything else at the testing range in Orlando florida. Lots of EPGA and Young Florida sticks clock'd in their longest drives with our TSG demo.

It was a standard 10.5 ZR-600 with upgrade PT-6 Tip 9 Spec.

We also had a 9.5 with a upgrade PT-7 Tip 9 Spec and the distance was on average if i remember right was 8 yards less across the board than the 10.5/PT-6.

So do you recomend I get the 10.5 instead of the 9.5 even if I usally play a 9.5?

Still played by almost every Srixon Pro on the Japanese tour and still ranks as one of the best drivers in Japan in most mags and publications... I gotta try one some day!

Do not know my current specs, cause I havent been on a launch monitor in a while. But I have always generated alot of RPM's with my driver and currently have a 505 driver at 9.5. I play arround with lots of shafts but always find that the 757 speeder fits the best.

Yea, without that sort of LM info its difficult to suggest somthing. Im already thinking 9.5 for sure, the question is what shaft..
