Mike
Hitting the shorter club harder is not really a bad thing , unless you are leaving the ball short of the green .Which is what I am doing . :wah: I am still considering bumping the lofts 1* strong , but have not convinced myself to do it yet . Kind of scared that it will increase the offset to much . Have Friday off so might go down to my local guy and get the 6 iron to PW bumped . Will wait and see what happenes Thursday night as I am working on getting my swing speed back to where it was 3 years ago and if I can do that will forget about bumping the lofts . Mike, They could always be bent back - never hurts to try. I am going to give them on more week before I have them bent down (lie) but since I reshafted I am not hooking them as much as I was with the s300's. True , can always bend them back . The Z's do come with a flatter lie than the 300 ( I think ) . If you are hooking them to much or even a pull hook then yes your lie's are to upright . One thing about the Z's they are real easy to bend . Work is now over :tired: Am going home to take a break from the computer . Am still having the lock up problems from my home computer so will be back on tomorrow , I just hope that tomorrow is a little slower than today . chainsaw
I plan on taking my :tourstage: eye candy to the range tomorrow for a serious familiarization session. I need to figure out what in the hell I'm doing with my driver as well. When I'm trying to fade it draws and vice versa. My ball is confused, man. I guess I could visualize the opposite shot but that gets confusing as I'v gone cross eyed just thinking about it. :o :smile1: I need to take some pics of the new bag once my $cratch wedges get here. My new TM staff got so damn dirty in her inagural round it was ridiculous :wah: I'm still trying to get all the dust off of it. I've never been caught outside in such strong winds. I've got rounds scheduled for Thurs., Fri., and Sat. I can't wait! :surprize:

Have fun with the TS Which Scratch did you get ?
Alcap26
Chain I talked to Ari the other day and I think my wedge will get shipped next week. When is yours supposed to get there. I got a 60° with 0° bounce like an old wedge I had that I loved. I got the satin chrome with orange and royal blue paint fill. I can't wait to get it. I won't have it in New Orleans but after I leave there and go to Florida it will be waiting for me there. I just hope my wrists let me play 1 round. Mike the TS are 2° up compared to the z's. That is why I have not bent mine. Just made them a little longer. Is anyone still doing the fantasy golf or have you all just been too busy to deal with it? I noticed a lot did not change there picks after the us open and some had none entered.
chainsaw
It's all about swingpath with me. A nice fade is what is most visually appealing to me for some reason. The main fault that I have in my swing is a really sweet over the top move :wah: :wah: I usually like to set up open with the driver and swing along my body. The problem that I run into there is my lower body opening too quickly and voila dead right. Now when I set up closed or straight the OTT move comes and boom dead left. I think what I'm getting at is I need a lesson. :money: I have a 56 and a 62 coming from Ari. I think I'm around the 5 week threshold right now so they should be here soon. Hey thanks for saying that about a fade being visually appealing..THAT must be why I snap one hard left every so often  ..my eye needs to see that soaring straight flight for about 220yds followed by the hard left turn and a rather large splash into the lake...it's all so clear..I owe you one for that chainsaw...now to train myself to think that is as appealing a sight as Margaret Thatcher naked and maybe it'll stop.. you guys get me antsy talking bout those wedges..I'm at week 8 and really twitchy about them.. chainsaw
Meg Thatcher naked will NEVER be visually appealling. :chickblnd: Trot over to the pin up spread and deposit some of those chicks in your spank bank and maybe along with some zyprexa the bad people will go away. I've developed tardive dyskenisa from waiting for my Scratches. So a little tick is nothing. I'm going to have a nice little offering to the golf gods of my Vokey's when $ wedges arrive. I'm thinking black robes and lots of explosives  Maybe leave one in the desert and the other in Lake Mead so the new clubs know they better never deliver my ball to one of those places or they'll be next. And yes you are right the 2 iron plays to a lie of 60* . If I recall correctly the 300's 2 iron is set at 58* . If I was to play the Z101's (60*) at those lie's I would hit them so far left that I would need a search party just to find my ball
Alcap26
Shoe we must have ordered at about the same time as I am looking at week 7 or week 8. I know good things come to those who wait so this thing must be great! I have already filled the acetelyn/oxygen tanks on the torch my father owns and I think I am going to sacrifice my cleveland to the golf gods via fire and let the scratch watch so it knows I mean business. Alcap26
I think I will torture the Cleveland first by drilling some holes all the way through it with the drill press. Then slowly melt it. Oh yes def. do the pictures to remind the $ not to forget. I have that on the way plus the proaim goggles and a set of gripmaster grips for the z101 and I haven't hit a ball in quite a while. I am sick. I can't wait for the proaims. I think it will be neat to see how they work.
Minimal302
The ProAim's are very cool. They have helped my putting tremendously. I also use the Boomerang with them, makes for fun practice. http://www.boomgolf.com/
shoe295
Black robes! Explosives! ah the ceremony..the pagentry...an alter erected on the 6th green and a sacrifice to the god of chili dips...what a most excellent idea... sorry about the tardive dykensia chain...that can be a bitch...hopefully my case will limit itself to a tick.. torching the old in front of the new could be fun also...although it's never a good idea for me to play with fire...explosives tho..
shoe295
those proaims look like they might work, I've been thinking about picking some up at the end of the month. Harrington has them for $60 I think which doesn't seem to bad and while I don't 3 putt much (oh I hope i didn't just jinx the crap outta myself) I don't make a lot of putts either..mostly because I don't trust my reads. I mark all my golf balls with a circle using a check n go and just line up the line on the ball with my read...works when I believe it but I'd like to putt better than I do...how's that for original improvement thought? .... chainsaw
So I played this morning, 5 1/2 hour round. Are you F-ing kidding me. It was a joke. I don't see how you guys can play tourneys and have 6 hour rounds. I had no timing whatsoever. I shot a (un)smooth 43-43. I can honestly say it was one of the most torturous rounds I've ever played. Should I write the director of golf and bitch? The course was NOT crowded at all. There was a marshall and everything but he obviously wasn't doing jack s**t about the pace of play. More and more out here the pace of play is 5-6 hour rounds and it's really wearing thin on my nerves. Alternatives: join a country club- not here, cheapest initiation is around 15,000 and that course isn't even that great. TPC Summerlin and Southern Highlands are 75,000 and 125,000 respectively both great courses but I don't have that kind of jack laying around. The courses justification for the pace issue seems to be that since the tourists (sorry guys but you get raped on golf here) pay such high green fees that the courses don't want to piss them off. I say who cares your loyal base of play is locals and 5+ hour rounds isn't bringing us out in droves. Just my bitch and rant for the day           Got another round at Paiute tomorrow afternoon so we'll see how much better that is........ shoe295
I feel your pain...I can't get anything going if it takes me that long to play....for one my brain manufactures homicidal visions involving the slow death of the groups in front of me because they are KILLING me...not conducive to relaxation and recreation...living in the land of the tourista as you do would drive me further over the edge than I already am..don't think I could cope with that...I have enough trouble with 4 1/2 hr rounds when I play on Sunday's...which is why I don't normally work Mon or Tue...way less of a crowd to deal with... shoe295
Gotta love America..I'm working the 4th of July and they are paying me double time and a half to sit on the company's computer and type this...thank you Grandma and Grandpa for coming to this country..plus its raining so I wouldn't be playing or practicing anyway...this day will pay for a trip to Whistling Straits....
Alcap26
Guys have you noticed our little group discussion (therapy) has gone back to 105 pages. Anyway thank god for anti inflamatory drugs. I went to an orthopedic doc and he ruled out carpal tunnel and I have ben on the anti inflam for about 5 days and what an improvement. I got to play golf today again with the new sticks and grips. I ended up shooting 78 with an eagle. I was not trying to shing hard and I was in control...usually not something I say when referring to my game. I love the z101s but I am fading the long irons some. I think this is due to the fact that they have less offset than the 300 long irons. I am going to be leaving Wed. for 11 days so I probably wont be doing much posting and maybe some of you can catch up in the fantasy golf league :-)
shoe295
Al, glad to hear the drugs are working! "better living thru chemistry" If you've only taken them for 5 days you don't even have the full anti inflammatory effect yet so it should get even better  Nice round...now if you can remember how you did that.. have a great trip....
