chainsaw
Now all we need is for Mike to chime in and everybody will be accounted for. Red X is now in the bag and has one round under it's belt. I pulled a couple of putts which I could never do with the futura so the x's days may be numbered. I just want to like it so much, I'm really cheering for it. The futura is just damn ugly but I can't get it out of the bag. Did you guys get your wedges yet??????

shoe295
Mike sorry your so ill...stomach virus = "we don't know what ya got we jus' know you sick"...shouldn't be drinking the water .... no wedges yet...getting really antsy as tourney time rapidly rapidly approaching and will probably need so time to work on distances since the shafts are going to be different... my club builder buddy is fixing up the TM mid I bought, getting a new weight piece from his contacts and buffing it up so it looks new in addition to new shaft...should have it back by Monday... I hit a couple of hundred balls last Monday and didn't recognize myself..everything went where I aimed it and most of them were clustered so I could pick them up only moving a couple of steps...very strange and twilight zoneish...if only I could bottle that swing.... my kids keep telling me I need a girlfriend .. :surprize: ..got me thinking about holding tryouts for ex-wife number three...this too shall pass... :money: :money: :money: :punch: :money:
chainsaw
DO NOT GIVE IN TO THE PRESSURE!!!!!! Tell the kids as soon as they get you on who wants to marry my dad, you'll consider number three. You gave it a chance.. twice and it still didn't work out. Some people just aren't the marrying type. Why do that to your golf game  Did you see Shivas Irons while you were hitting??????? Alcap26
Well I am in sunny HOT Florida by way of New Orleans for the rest of the week. I must say everyone needs to go to New Orleans at least once in their life. What a bunch of freaks. Talked to Ari yesterday and he said my wedge ships today so it will be in Tennessee when I return. Mike I hope you are feeling better. All for now as I feel I have been demoted to the stone age. I HATE DIAL UP!!!!!

Feeling pretty good now , just a little lacking in energy ( any wisecracks about that and :punch: :-) ) . But I am feeling stronger everyday now so maybe next week will be back to normal  Al have been to New Orleans . Aug 98 , f**k was it ever hot but that made the beer all that much better . You hate dial up , now you know what I put up with when I am at home trying to do some stuff . I have to use it all the time and boy does it ever suck
chainsaw
I had a bartender from the big sleazy on my plane not too long ago and boy was she ever a little freak. I have not made the visit the Nawlins but I'm not real sure I want to go. Maybe there is a reason it's sinking. Great story about New Orleans cops... My two best friends went to the sugar bowl last year and while partaking in the ambiance of everything, they noticied this guy who was decked out in full OU regalia. After having a few too many he decides he needs to scream "f**k LSU" at the top of his lungs. This doesn't go over well with Boudreaux,Tibideaux (made up cajun names...not my friends) and all the other LSU fans. The poor Sooner gets his behind kicked royally by about sixteen of the biggest cajuns in existence. Then to add insult to injury after they pile off of him, the cops who had been watching the whole thing strode over and cuffed him up and hauled his ass to jail LOL. GEAUX LSU!!!! shoe295
I was in New Orleans once, unfortunately have no recollection of what happened, have been told by several witnesses that I did have a great time, was unusually entertaining, and was only in serious jeopardy of losing my freedom twice, which for me during that life was way below par. My sister's kids live in southern GA, by Sea Island so I understand the HOT Florida reference, walk outside and it's like getting hit in the face, the humidity has a physical presence...ugh... got out to play yesterday and was even thru 12 when this kid joins up with me...proceed to play the next 6 in 6 over including a double from the middle of the fairway only 75yds out...after the butchery ended I told him that it wasn't personal but if I ever saw him coming near me I was running the other way..sheesh..musta been him and not the fact that 88* temp and 85% humidity finally sapped me...i never understand courses that don't have lots of water available.... Al, glad to hear your wedge is on the way, maybe mine are coming soon!!!! we're at 11 weeks
Alcap26
Shoe: no wedge yet...hoping for Monday...I might ask Ari how he shipped it. Let me say it is great to be home and off the road. After 2500 miles over the last 10 days my bed has never looked so good. The course i played twice in Sarasote Florida was shart and tight. I honestly after the first round dropped the driver and 3 wood and hit three iron off of all par four and par five holes. I am now in love with my Z101 3 iron and the gripmaster grips are great. I can't wait to play my home course where I can hit driver and not have an overwhelming feeling of claustrophobia. Hope all you guys are doing great. chainsaw
Well boys, the bag is finally set. Scratch got here yesterday and went out for the inagural round today. So much better than the Vokey's I had! X-16 Pro Series that have tour stickers but I can't tell a difference, 200 tour ridge top w/ pro 95 and a Royal Collection 5 wood that isn't here yet but should be here by the end of the week. The MR's were damn hot but I'm hitting like $%# lately and the x-16's are so much more forgiving. Mid summer and I finally decide on a bag, better late than never. Oh yeah, I got a red x. First round out was a 85 but I feel a lot better about the bag now. :money:  :money:  :money:

Hey Al, did your wedge show up yet? 2500 miles in 10 days would leave me hiding from the undertaker ( I hate when that guy smiles at me..makes me think he knows something I don't)...I would have such a case of fanny fatigue I wouldn't feel my ass for a week... :-D

Shoe: no wedge yet. The anticipation is killing me. Since they were coming from Oregon I should be getting them any day. Well the driving is not over yet. I have about 450 more miles to go tomorrow. I have easily done 3000 miles this month after this trip. Hell I don't want to see a car...but my father needs a favor so I will do this and then no more trips for a little while. I almost spit water all over the screen when i read fanny fatigue...thats some good stuff
chainsaw
I can't believe the wedge isn't there yet, that's a major bummer! I choked on a three footer on Sunday from 4 feet, I Mikelsoned it (hard lip out), so the red x is about to get buried in the desert and X will mark the spot. I can't remember missing those with the futura but I never made any long ones with the futura like I did with the X. So is life I guess, the putt was for 20 bucks too. :money: :wah:  :-) :yuk: I'm not bitter though

I ordered my wedges May 1 and am just about ready to chew wallboard at this point in time..my short game needs assistance and I'm hoping those 2 items will supply it..I feel like that vulture in the old cartoon..patience hell I think I'm gonna kill something...I don't do waiting very well...perhaps I've died and this is a taste of hell....nah hell was living with my first wife what am I thinking. Played the other day and not once but twice someone hit my ball...teach me to miss in another fairway...but there is very little that ticks me off more than that..I only mark them with a black line all the way around AND 3 purple dots around the brand name so I can see how easy it would be to confuse mine with yours :-) rant over...
