Alcap26
In case you guys don't check out my newest post in my wedge review I will let you know what it is. Today was the maiden round for the Scratch wedge. On the second hold...470 par five...I was over the green in two and needed to hit a nice high soft shot to get it close. Pulled the new wedge out and chipped it in for eagle. What a great way to introduce yourself to the bag. The wedge is great!!!
Mike
Nice going Al , I have yet to chip in with either of my wedge's  But with the way my year has been going so far I can't really expect too much .
chainsaw
I haven't holed out either  I bent the bejesus out of of my gap wedge a few weeks ago. I took some pics that I'll post when I get home. Damn Pete Dye and his f-ing railroad tyes! My ball was resting right on the edge of a sand trap and the tye was sticking out ever so slightly. I pulled a Tour caliber shot where basically I went at it 110% and made birdie. Long and the short of it I'm damn luck I didn't break anything but my wedge. It looks like the hosel is bent or the shaft is bent going into the hosel. I'm going to take it tomorrow to see if it can be fixed or if I have to order a new wedge. I tried playing w/o it and it just didn't work out. It seemed like every approach shot in I had I needed it. It's a Cleveland 53* gunmetal that I love but I've heard that they break easily if you try to bend them. Looks like it's gonna be :money:
Alcap26
It was great...it was one of those moments when you feel you are going to make the shot. This was the first shot hit with the wedge during a round of golf. I mean I had been to the range with it once but this was he first trial by fire. It came out of the lie perfectly high and soft. Did not check due to the lie and the slope of the green rolled about 12 feet and into the bottom of the hole for an eagle. I haven't done it in a while...I mean chipping in because my short game has been so bad. Like I said when i first hit the wedge at the range...it felt like a long lost old friend had come back into my life when i hit this wedge. If you can't already tell...I am satisfied with my purchase.

Mike
Well, what do you guys think? Can it be fixed? Not sure , wish you has a pic in the address position . Might want to send the pic's to Joe and ask him if it can be done or not . If not looks like you will be getting a second scratch wedge for you
chainsaw
If not looks like you will be getting a second scratch wedge for you Actually, that's be number three. I tried an address pic and for some reason you can't see the bend. I took a bunch of different angle pics and those are the best examples. Here's my 56* Scratch and an address pic
HipCheck
That sux Chainsaw... I hate Dye courses by the way. Too over the top. Anyway, have you contacted Ari for his opinion?
Mike
Very nice chainsaw . Tell me what type of grind to you get and what is the bounce on your wedge's.
chainsaw
They both have about 7 degrees of bounce. The 62 is a M grind and the 56 has more of an iron gring for playing from the fw and chipping. I never use the 62 from the fw and pretty much use it for flop or sand shots. Mike
If you use the 62 only for flop shots and from the sand , what do you do when you have a 60 - 70 yard shot from the fairway . Grip down on the 56 ??

Grip down on the 56 ?? Â My intial answer is I avoid them at all costs  However, it really depends on whats in front of me. The 62* is an option but usually a last resort. tei3rn
Well, what do you guys think? Can it be fixed? From the pics, it looks like the shaft might be bent right where it goes into the hosel. I would pull the shaft and have someone check the loft of the head just to be sure.

I went from full speed to stopped right after impact. Surprisingly, it didn't even hurt a little bit. I know it's not because of all the time I've been putting in at the gym b/c that's a big fat zero :wah: I've thought about it and I'm the fattest out of shape I've ever been in and it's disgusting  I'm thinking of doing one of those Body of Life type constests between Kristin and me. Minimal302
WOOHOOOO! My clubs finally came and man are they gorgeous! As soon as I got them out of the box I took off for the range. These things are butter! I had been playing some severly beat up X-12's for almost 7 years so this is like night and day. I almost didn't want to hit them they looked so damn good. The feel is amazing. Now I need to take them on the course and see how they perform. I will post some pics tomorrow, it's time to go down a "few" beers.
Mike
Guy's I have come to the realization that who ever invented this game should be SHOT and PISSED ON :-) :-) :-) Played 3 of the last 4 days , and I don't think I have played this bad since I took the game up in 1989 . Rounds of 86 , 82 and 86 :surprize:  Am almost at the point where if my game doesn't come around soon , I chuck everything and take up something else , like fishing and or even bowling :bulls**t: :-D Only thing is I know if I do get rid of all my clubs in 3 months I would have to buy new stuff as the bug would bite once again and then I'll really be f**ked
Minimal302
Mike, I am in the same boat. I can't do anything right. I haven't played this bad in quite some time. If I miss anymore 2 foot putts I am going to go crazy.
