Alcap26
Just an FYI. I will be outta here for the weekend tomorrow and will not be back until Monday so if Pete makes an experience would someone please make sure an PM me. I am off to Ohio for an inlaw visit...please pray for me. When i get back i will probably have up for sale a few items. I think I have found a 3 wood FINALLY. I got a Sonartec ss02 14° today and man this thing felt great. Had the stock shaft in stiff and the shaft felt pretty good and the performace was great. Might be the honeymoon period but this is the first three wood I have owned in a long time that I did not hit one hook with at the first range session. The eld**k is out of the bag...having a lot of trouble with distance contral so the Monza will be along for the trip. Let me also say the JoeK wedge is amazing. 50 yard pitches with it to back pins are nice...get thatt one hop and check action or stop depending on the ball. Hope everyone has a great weekend! shoe295
Man I am bummed! I have to go to Reno AGAIN tomorrow and Wednesday so that means no practice round watching for yours truly  I have to work the damn skybox on Saturday so I won't get out on the course then either. On a positive note, I will be inside the ropes on Friday at least :spit: Hopefully we pull Mickelson this year. Life's a bitch and then you die...somebody dead once said that...gee and all I have to do is clean the garage, the gutters and get ready to have the house painted. Just FYI stucco and Wisconsin were NOT made for one another....almost 10k to have the place painted so it doesn't start taking on water like the Titanic...that's 4 sets of Hiro Matsumoto's..... :-) if only I had it as bad as the saw man...
HipCheck
Well gents, if it's any consolation, my job REALLY sucks. If anyone is in IT and hears the words 'Sarbanes-Oxley' otherwise known as SOX, you'll know what I mean. It's a stupid law by stupid rich Senators designed to prevent another 'Enron' disaster, but winds up affecting us IT grunts who now cannot touch production applications anymore. It was crooked 'other' rich guys who caused Enron's debacle, not IT. Life is officially miserable here. Now my standard answer to the question "How's work going?" is "It SOX!" shoe295
Hipcheck...I know what you mean and I don't work in IT, they wrote that law to affect everyone..and expensive!, my word some of the nonsense we're required to do takes a lot of time which could be put to productive use rather than this nonsense. Ah yes, life is always so much better when the guvment gets involved... on a happier note I got to play the other day, actually took a day off to finish some work around the house and much to my surprise was done before noon, and must say that those Scratch wedges are something else. I didn't play worth poop but that's just because it's been 2 weeks since I hit many balls. I believe the Nippon shafts will be a serious contender in the next irons...very very smooth :scratch1: but I think I'll need to find a little tougher ball, they tend to peel the paint off my Precept's...but that may just be because they're new...any one else have that problem? have a great weekend guys....I just noticed the standing in DM's contest..major suckage from my boys..hope they quit playing like girls soon... Mike
shoe you might have to go to the Pro V1 . So far have found that they are the only balls my wedge's do not chew up . And they are mega bucks up here . As a side note has now been over a month since I ordered my new wedge's from Ari . Last time I talked to him they were being shipped out on the 27th of Sept . Still not here . And it is only a 12 hour drive from where I live to Eugene , am not really getting worried yet as the public service has been on strike up here and they do have to go thru customes . So am hoping on this week at the latest . Am keepig my fingers crossed that they get hear before the monsoon's set in
shoe295
I could play the Pro V but at $10 a box more that just snorts baking soda..I'll have to try the new Wilson Staff balls...was always a favorite of mine...back when you could buy a premium ball for $1.25 each....course gas was 29 cents a gallon too ...thanks for the info Mike...those wedges do make the ball stop on a dime and give you 9 cents change if you want them to..takes a little getting used to.. Alcap26
Let me present you all with a scenario: I am playing golf today...the game is almost back after the whole ordeal this summer...and my partner who will be named later starts on the first hole asking me to watch their shots as they are having trouble seeing them then on every other shot asks what I think the yardage is for his shot. On putts asks what the break is on his putts. This goes on throught the whole front nine. We get on the back nine and the same starts up along with the I don't think I have hit one that far in three years said for the third time. On one hole I cannot see my drive due to the sun and I ask if my partner has an idea on the direction it started on and they say no they just can't see my ball as they stand behind me when i tee off. This happens again on the back nine and I am getting ticked. i am wanting to just have casual conversation and concentrate on my ball not worry about how my partner looks like they are splitting wood on their tee shots and wants to know what I think the problem is or how the driver slipped in their hands. Finally on eightteen I tee off with a horrible topped shot...first one in I do not remember when and I pick up. Then I take my partner to their shot to hit and he hits then i ask where it went and he says I am not sure I thought you would see it. I start going down the fairway to spot it and then my partner says are you going to run the fairway or go back to the path. I start going back to the path and he says well I just asked because you always give me a hard time for running the fairway. I have had it. I stop the cart...take my bagf off and walk in. now my partner is my father. I enjoy spending the time with him but I am not his damn caddie or swing coach. I have suggested lessons and he took two but will not even try what the pro suggested which is what I have been saying for years. I honestly think the constant distraction of trying to club him and watch his ball costs me strokes because when I get to my ball I am like what the hell am I doing here. Oh yeah this is my shot. It just aggrevates the hell out of me and he thinks that he is doing no wrong and it is just my quick temper. Needless to say I was a little pissed after the round. Sorry just needed to rant. Don't get me wrong I love getting to play with him but I just want to go out and concentrate on my game and shoot the bs inbetween shots...is that asking too much. I wont even go into the raked in five footers that are "gimmies" for him that I do not concede but he feels he can take becuase he feels he can make them. He does not do any of the above activity with others that I have knowledge of just me. He may ask them to help him watch which I do not have a problem with but I am sure he does not ask at least once a hole.

shoe295
spending $$$ on computers has fewer consequences than stealing one... Alan..I think all parents have a responsibility and solemn duty to piss their children off...repeatedly ...frequently...often....without regard to where when how....why this is so I can not say for sure but I do know for the most part it is not a conscious thing....perhaps it's the result of years of familiarity.....or maybe parents grow up to be ass****s to their kids in retaliation for the whole having to change diaper thing...or maybe they do it to show us that they can still find the buttons and push them really hard.....we are always the most aggravating to those we love.... enough of that......anyone seen the new Corvette? I could see myself in one of those (what am I saying) nah...but is does have some serious get up and move down the road...

Shoe, The problem is that we are so much alike and I honestly have trouble concentrating sometimes. This problem does not just come up in my golf game but in all other aspects in life. I was having a hard time that day and it seemed Dad was asking me to do something every shot. I guess I was partially to blame but he does not understand the concentration problem I experience often. I played decent and the old swing was coming around but it just got too frustrating..oh well. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Andy: Have you hit them yet? Went to a golf store thisweekend and was messing around with putters. As some of you know the eld**k is not doing it for me and have gone back to the monza. Now i feel the need to scrap the whole MOI thing. I used this putter a few times on the carpet and it felt pretty good but was loud. I guess I better make a bunch of putts if I decide to get it. I guess it would take care of my problems with offset. Anyway...I'll let you guys know what I decide. Ping 1A

Ping 1A Computers - my wife got a lap top from her old work, but no admin code so either I need to get a new version of XP or ? Al - I hit the Z's with the TX shafts - way too long at +1". So Last night I pulled the shafts and put a set of PX's in them 6.0 soft stepped once. I also packed up the TM 's so they are coming your way today. Thanks - Alan.
Alcap26
I am glad they have found a happy home. Thanks a bunch for working with me on these Andy. What did you think of the grips? Minimal302
The money order is in the mail Alan. :money: Can't wait to putt with the Eldik. I've been wanting to try one for the longest time but my Freaktura keeps making putts. I figure with winter soon approaching it will be a good time to experiment. Plus I am a putter ho. Thanks again! Have any of you guys putted on one of these?Big Moss I might get one for the basement this winter. They look pretty solid. Alcap26
Minimal, Thanks for offering a new loving home for the Eld**k. I am sure it will find nothing but love. Also this is the putting green I was thinking of getting for the basement. I might need to get it soon if I get a Ping 1a because the wife would get woke up if I was practicing with it in the hallway. This is the smallest one they make. You might just have to type in store.huffysportsstore.com and search for golf. The biggest on has 107 sq. ft. of putting surface. I like the one you put up. It does look pretty good. You just made my choice harder. http://store.huffysportsstore.com/1030-df-0001-id.html
Sgt_Slaughter
i think i need one of those, the carpet isnt the greatest, considering the ball will settle in the little grooves it has, lol, its better than not putting, i can still work on my stroke

Guys I am seriously thinking of getting that putter. It just felt good and the eld**k will be on it's way to a new happy home soon. Al - pleasure was all mine - the clubs just got the Andy treatment. I soft stepped PX 6.0's once, the shafts werle splined by Bushkin swing weighted them to D4 and dowled them - reults - I think I finally got the right combination - just striping them at the range. Weather sucks so no play today. Regarding the gripmasters. I love them but have no way of removing - no compressor or needle to squirt solvent through them. Lastly - you should get the TM 300's today with the extra S300 shafts please let me know your thoughts. Andy
Alcap26
Andy, I feel I owe you money on the trade because the 300 look brand new. They are beautiful. I may just keep these for my self and extend the shafts. They look brand new. I may make them a quarter inch shorter than my current ones. They are fantastic. I am glad the z101 are working for you. Call the guy at gripmaster he said someone made a noozle for a compressor that fit under the grip or I think you can unwind the leather and then get them off and then rewrap them. Thanks man they are beautiful. ALan
