chainsaw
I'm such a ho. I was torn between trying a 580xd and getting a new putter. Well, I went up to puttermonster and tried everything they had on the floor and was underwhelmed. Nothing really felt better than the futura soooooo there's a 580 TP on the way. Well see if it can unseat the 510 otherwise it'll be in the BST as I got a pretty good deal on it. Out to play www.lvpaiutegolf.com, playing the wolf today. It's supposed to be the shizz, never ponied up for it before but a buddy of mine got us a deal on it.

chainsaw
Cover your ears boys because the obscenities are about to fly. I played like absolute total comple $hit. I couldn't hit the &uckin ball anywhere close the the $hittin fairway off the &ucking tee to save my life. I've never taken so many lateral hazard drops in my life. Good Gawd it was ugly. Get ready for this, a 102. I quit, I'm done. No more golf until tomorrow. I shot a smooth 46-56. It was just the first three of each nine that did it. On the front I was 7 over after three and on the back I was 9 over after three. So UGLY!!!!!!!!!

Alcap26
Lance I feel your p[ain as I did the same damn thing yesterday. I think I hit to many balls at the demo day and my elbows were hurting but that is still no excuse. The bad thing was I was killing the driver and hitting the fairway but the tempo was $hit with the irons. Of course it does not help to have 15 things other than golf on your mind. HipCheck
I too share everyone's pain. Opened with a double, for no good reason. Next par, then go on "Bogeyfest 2005" until parring the ninth, although I slaughtered a drive and then stuck a wedge to 8 feet. Crusing along on the back with pars. Hit the fringe on a downhill 305 par 4 and miss a bird. Then comes 16 -- a looooong uphill par 5 beast. Although it's 78° out today, I manage to get a snowman  , then bogey 17 (a GOOD bogey, too). I get to 18 and duck hook a drive, first one all day, into a lake. Hit three off the tee and let out a big grunt when I hit it. Hit a 6 iron to 15 feet and two jack for a double. Friggin' 87. My ballstriking was 'on' too, just my aim was way off. If I can do ever 1 putt, it will be a minor miracle.

Mine was 69.3/126. The greens sucked too. Heavily sanded and aerated. It was like putting on "Lite Brite." Highlights of the round included my friend hitting a 6 iron shot on one bounce into the dead center of someone's back. What a thump! Also, my other friend drove an uphill, 340 yard green, and missed a hole in by inches. The rolled past the flag and settled just 10 ft. from the cup. The other foursome was just leaving the green when they saw it. They actually cheered.
chainsaw
I suck! I usually shoot low to mid eighties to answer CMike's question. Two straight terrible rounds. I shot a 92 today. I can't find a freaking fairway to save my life. Funny thing is, I usually suck on the range and play decent but I am just striping it on the range lately but sucking on the course. Total opposites. To top it all off I left my 9 iron somewhere on the course today. Fortunately I played at the country club where it hopefully won't get jacked. Not only am I playing like a hack, I'm pulling total hack moves to go with my scores.                   P.S. AKFLY
Well I finally sat my fat arse down on the couch. It was my son's first communion today and of course we had 35 people over for dinner. Played last Friday and talk about never getting the round going - 3 putted four greens - played better on the back but my partner was just in a funk and seem to drag us down. Cannot wait for the new putter to get her NC #1.

So I figure why bother  Or can saw that I would gladly change local's as I would in a heart beat and not really care what I shot , just the fact that I would be playing on a course that would not come up the my ankles in MUD with every step of the way :smile2:
shoe295
You guys realize it's only APRIL right? And the middle of April at that? I'm playing for the first time all year today so who cares what I shoot...I'm with Mike...trade locations..play instead of fight the weather... It appears Deane Beman on to something when they say technology is making the game too easy  ..look how easy it's been for ya'all ... sheesh ... so I'm putting all kinds of techno marvels in my bag this year just so I can make every older course I play scream "no mas" after I get through with it...got latest shafts in my newly blueprinted irons, putting a new shaft in my Japanese 4 wood, gonna get the lastest greatest driver head and stick a shaft like Tiger's in it then cruise on over to Whistling Straits and set the course record...  :money: :blackeye: ....does Mr Beman realize how stupid he sounds and how ridiculous his statements are to the regular hacks like us? I don't get, just do not get it...just because Hogan had to hit a 1 iron on the 18th at Merion and guys today get to hit 8 iron who the crap cares...Merion would chew me up, spit me out, and I'd still love it...the only time I resemble Tiger Woods when he hits a tee shot like he did on No. 2 at Augusta, 6 inches behind the ball and about 75yds toward the green...and he still made par..later he hits one 375yds...which I couldn't do with a rocket launcher...please Mr Beman go home and leave me and my game alone... Sorry for that rant got carried away... ..the original reason I started this post is because I just got a postcard from the American Club (which owns Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits) for the spring deal 8 play for price of 5 on any of the 4 courses except the Straits. Now if I can only find 7 guys who want to play one of the top 100 courses in the country..the search begins..

shoe295
Played a quick 9 last Monday as the temp hit 81*..in April..in Wisconsin  ....41 with 3 3 putts..the fun part was the 2 wild turkeys that crossed the 6th fairway behind me and the Canadian Goose nesting in a tree ( if you've never seen a duck or goose land in a tree I highly recommend it for entertainment value)... Tuesday turned out to be 82* so I played 18...have to report that after a very interesting 77 I think the Tour Concept shafts are the best golf purchase I have ever made! Even hitting the ball with my usual low wind fighting trajectory ( wind was 18-25mph) I was stopping balls on the green which never happened with the Hogan shafts! After Mr.Kwok's work the irons hit so so smooth I can't even describe. I guess the best testimony I can provide is that I will have him work on any set of irons I use. Decided on a Fuji ZcomTW 74 for my 4 wood...may even have it for the scramble I'm playing in Sunday ( when the weather is to be a more Wisconsin in April like 50*) Have a great weekend guys...Mike..may the mud dry out enough for you to play without winding up with ruined shoes... Alcap26
Mike, Had a two day two man tournament this weekend. We did not play that great but finished third in the 2nd flight out of 6 flights. We had the worst weather yesterday felt like squall lines coming through with wind gusting to 35-40mph and rain coming in sideways and the high maybe 50. Today constant 20-30mph winds with the temp starting in the low 40 and 50 when we finished. Cold day but thank god the guy I played with is a member and has a covered cart and cart heater. I t was cold. My partner is usually very steady with the irons and a good putter but the last two days he was decel into the ball and his irons not that good and his putting was lousy...these were his words as I would not dog a partner like that. I was hitting the irons great and maybe missed 5 fiarways the whole time. I made all the birdie putts the first day and all on the front nine today. The course double cut the greens Sat morning and the cut the once again today so they were playing really quick. Not easy golf at all. We shot 69-68 but should have been 67-65 because we could not get the putters hot. My short game was fantastic and has inspired lots of confidence since you guys know what I have been going through the last two years. Looking forward to the season...although I wonder if I can really say that since I have posted 18 scores since December of 2004. Damn I am getting long winded. chainsaw
Well, where to start? Bowled the three game series of my not so illustious bowling career last night, 188-209-210. Pretty solid if you ask me :smile2: Played a little roulette and actually walked out a couple hundred bucks up. A freaking miracle! Went to Mesquite and played Wolf Creek this morning. Amazing course, man was it breathtaking. Unfortunetly, the green fee is breathtaking as well. Just a little south of 2 bills. Thank you Coast Casinos and red 7  So, new driver (MP-001) and new putter (Futura Phantom Mallet) decent front nine, fall apart back nine. It was an interesting course lay out that takes driver out of your hand but once again penalty shots abounded. Had 8's on three par fives, not so good. Also, finished strong on 18 by hitting two shots into the desert :wah: I've got to start scoring better or the whole bag and everythingI own golf is going up Se Vende.
