shoe295
Camping? as in sleeping on the ground? Sorry but my idea of roughing it is a Motel 6! complete with Free TV!!!! I agree with Andy...Lance sounds ready to have children..LOL After a serious case of the lefts off the tee I played two days later in 90+ heat. Walked and thought I'd like to die after 16 holes but did manage a pair of 38's including a no look birdie from 40 ft. on the last hole..nice way to end as I could barely drag my ass to the car.. Going out this morning to test the Tour Edge Exotic on the course before I drop it off to have the stock shaft swapped out with the ZCom...really do like that club and after this change think I'm set for the rest of the year... Looks like I may need surgery on the elbow at some point..fluid build up just won't go away..gonna try another cortisone shot before we take that step. Hopefully if it comes to that I can hold out til November so I can rehab (oh how I hate the sound/thought of that word) over the off season. If anyone is interested in acquiring a couple of teenage girls I would gladly tape $100 bills to the backs of two and send them your way..with the way the laws are these days one can't even discipline your own child without going to jail should they decide they don't want to be disciplined..but that's a story for another day.. Have fun and enjoy yourselves in whatever activities you choose to participate in...just remember to DO something as this gig called life allows for no practice runs or do-overs... :smile2:

As it pertains to your daughters. Call a few boarding scholls and have them send some brochures to the house and of course leave them out on the kitchen table. Also print out info from the internet. If they are of working age - get them a job at a factory or loading trucks for UPS. One summer working in a tool bin of a large factory really made me appreciate the $$ my parents were spending for college.
Mike
Well guys had to cut the camping short . Seems my gall bladder is acting up and might have to get it removed . :fever: I have another 2 weeks booked at the end of August , but this time will not be in a tent . Will either rent a travel trailer or a class c motorhome or won't be going at all . Since I won't be golfing for awhile at the very least don't know what I'll end up doing now . Hope all is well with everybody , just wish I was . Later guys .

Hope all is well with everybody , just wish I was . Later guys . Arrrggghh..gall bladder pain- ouch....that's a lousy way to ruin a good summer...hopefully the wonders of modern medicine combined with better living thru chemistry can find a way to relieve the problem without resorting to something as barbaric as body part removal. Internet porn is always a good alternative to golf, so I've been told. Heavy doses of reality TV have enough mind numbing capacity that you will be reduced to a vegetative state in under two weeks. You have my wishes for a speedy recovery. Story of the week..I was on the first green getting ready to hit my putt when, just as I began my forward stroke I feel something cold and wet against my left calf...sent the ball about 20 yards and I jumped about 6 feet...turns out the course dog decided he needed to sniff my leg :surprize: ..never saw him coming but he sure gave me a start..belongs to the head groundskeeper and has the run of the place. Have fun at whatever occupies your attention this week

chainsaw
So I bought a set of X-12 PS to see how much better I hit the tanks. Got rid of the center shaft phantom 2, still deciding what to get. I have a 100 dollar credit at Bear's Best but I'm not sure what they have in stock. Noticed a lot of the TM staffers using the corza. I'll probably run by there some time this week and see what they have. I'm sorta going camping over the 4th so I guess that's sorta a group shared activity for the summer. If the Cally's don't work, I don't know what I'm going to do. If you can't hit 100% of GIR with those shovels you shouldn't be playing. We need a sticky with the definition of insanity  I had a great Father's Day weekend - problem is now I am starting to shake - LOL. Mike very glad to hear no surgery...sorry about the back to work part tho.. Andy..you're never drunk as long as you can fish...glad you had a great Father's Day....mine was fun too with 2 of my 3 kids here for the weekend...my 14 year old is a hoot..she shaved her eyebrows and drew them on with an eyeliner pencil!!!! better at 14 than 24 I figure.. Alcap26
Well guys I have gotten back to the volunteer state and I am so happy to be back in my bed. Florida was fun...did not play the best when I first got there but finished off the trip with a 77. Used my Cobras down there since I was hitting them so good. Got back home yesterday and switched out the cobras with the Mizunos and used them today on my normal course. We played from the whites since I have a two day tournament this weekend and shot a 74...but this course is much easier from the whites...about 4 shots easier. Hit the mizunos good and they are fighting hard with the cobras for the spot in the bag. Andy did great work on these...everything was spot on with the clubs. I am keeping the cobra 2 iron in the bag. It is not and I repeat not going anywhere. That's all for now. Mike I am glad you do not need the gall bladder removed. Lance your a ho...getting worse than our leader Andrew but not quite that bad yet. Guys have a good hump day.
shoe295
I am starting to wonder if it will ever rain in my lifetime...weatherman says another week of this and we will officially be in a drought...the practice range is so hard and dry little puffs of dirt fly after you hit the ball and if the wind is blowing the right way I go home filthy from the knees down where all that dirt stuck to the sweat! Only gonna be 96* here today... Played Tuesday and it was only 92*..got to the course at 9:30am and the pro told me they had a shotgun start at 12:30 how fast can I play...2 hours and 40 minutes later I was back at the car after one of the most interesting 76's I ever had...missed only 2 fairways (so why do I think I need a new driver?) hit a lot of greens but made only 2 putts over 4 ft. Best shot of the day was on 18 a hybrid from 207, blind, over some large trees that hit and stopped. Of course on the 18th green I then figure out that I've been lining my putts up with the ball to close to my front foot so I at last stroked a good one that just came up short...weird bizarre game we play Have a great weekend guys..and if it doesn't rain soon I'm sacrificing a goat in an effort to appease whoever it is I've managed to p*** off
Alcap26
Shoe when you sacrifice the goat be sure to keep East TN in mind in your seance. It is as dry here as a popcorn fart....although I am hitting some of the longest drives I have ever hit due to the hard and fast course. 2 day tournament tomorrow...hope the rounds do not take forever. Format is take the best drive and play your own in from there and count the best score. Had a horrible practice round...arguing with the wife during part of it...hopefully will have the bad shots out of the way. I hope all of you are having a great weekend. chainsaw
Well boys, it's now my turn to go camping. Will be in the state of Ohio for the 4th, hopefully all my warrants have expired. No golf planned, just a lot of fishing and shooting. Should be a hootin' hollerin' good time. Here's the golf iron ho news hot off the press. Just acquired myself a set of X-tours with PX 6.0. I'm seriously considering going all Cally. I putted around with a DFX two ball last weekend and loved it. I can't remember the last time I putted so well. I played while I was in Odessa, Tx and fired a smooth 81 with a bunch of strokes left on the green. I lipped two birdies out and burned the edge a few other times. Not bad for a 25 mile an hour steady wind and using your girlfriends clubs :spit: Have a happy fourth and whatever they call it in Canada day, eh :spit:
agoodgolfer
Its been a long time since I've posted in this thread. Can't believe its still going. So I took another break from golf. This time it wasn't planned or something I was doing consciously. Some things in life seemed to be taking up a lot of time and golf didn't have priority over any of them. Yesterday was the first time in a month and a half since I had a real practice session. I went to the range a few weeks ago to try and teach my girl friend, but you guys know how those go - I hit 10 balls and they were all to show her specifics of the swing... I spent about 2 hours at the course yesterday hitting 80 balls and spending the last hour chipping and putting. For some reason the first time I practice after a break I always hit the ball really well. I was striping them on the range, and was chipping in from all over the place. Putting was pretty good as well. I missed a few short ones, but I was still able to lag the ball really well. I'm sure I'll go out there in the next couple days and start shanking them. I feel like the first practice session after a break is like the first day on a trip to Las Vegas - you always win therefore you wanna stay and play more ( I swear they rig the tables and mark people as "fresh blood" hahaha... ) - Enough of my rambling, time to get some work done. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend. Chris
shoe295
Hope you all are enjoying the 4th..I myself have picked up some serious ordnance from 3 Fingered Sams discount Fireworks!! The guy behind the counter was called Stumpy and warned me to NEVER try to light a fart with a firecracker; timing needs to be too perfect. Play well and Lance by all means go all Cally...when the dark side beckons I'm a firm believer in answering the call
phillypete
Hey guys! I can't believe I have been gone for this long and TM is still on the R7! Anyhow... I am jsut settling into the working stiff's life. I graduated in June and have started working in wonderful  Reading PA. As it turns out they actually expect me to do something other than post on TSG at this job. So I won't be quite as active as in the good ole days, but hopefully I'll be around a little more than in the past few months. Well I got some catching up to do... See ya around, phillypete
Alcap26
Pete...welcome back...I have been wondering about you. Good to hear you are getting settled in and good luck with the new job. Guys the mp32 have knocked the cobras out of the bag (for now) and I will be keeping the cobras to use as backups...just got to extend the shafts. Andy once again thank you for the wonderful work you did on these and suggesting the s400 shafts. These things are great. I had a great fourth weekend. Went out on the lake for two days in a row...rode a tube for the first time in about 15 years and rode a jet ski that does about 70mph also. That thing is superfast and will get to top speed in about 3 seconds. 215 hp jetski. I got to hang out with my nephews and watch fireworks and it was great. I guess I have to get back to the golf game since I haven't played in 4 days. Hope everyone had a great 4th!
