BELA
Merry Christmas to everyone! I am thinking about buying a new set of japanese irons for the next year and have been testing the new Beres MG801, an older model (2004/2005) from Honma (504 or 503, do not know for sure right now) and Ping I5 (just to compare with a domestic set). All with graphite shafts in regular flex. My current irons are Callaway X-tour with nippon 750gr steel shafts in regular flex. My ss with the driver is in the 100-105 mph range. Never really thought about the 901 as they are supposed to be for the pro or low hcp player but, this morning, I have had the chance to hit a demo 7 iron with a graphite shaft in reg flex. Beautiful set up and design. The head suits my eyes perfectly. Not too big not too small. Weight felt perfect also. The results, I hit around 200 balls with all the clubs and the 901 worked the best. I will not say that there were no bad shots for they were. Every club delivered a bad shot once in a while but I feel that the 901 just delivered fewer... The feel was great with all Beres and Honma being the 801 a little more "metallic" or clickier at impact. The 901 is very soft. I score 85-90 depending mostly on my short game (chip and putt) I hit the center of the club face more often than not. Are the TW 901 for me? All 901 owners´ or testers´ feedback appreciated

+TourSpecGolfer
I say dont do it, they sure are nice too look at. Is your ball striking is better than average because if not your game could suffer. How do you like your 750 shafts? Honma specs are pretty light, perhaps you should be looking at srixon Z600 or the new WR model irons. Perhaps the ViQ forged? those sound like heads you may fit into a bit better. fourteen TC-770 model is soft and easy too.
Vincenti
I am a mid handicapper, plays maximum 4x in a month, have quiet good ball striking, but .. what a heck, I like the look and the style and expensive price, it's the reason to buy the club and I am over-over-happy with it. Why do you have to hear other people's opinion? Just buy what you think it's nice and forget about the handicap story. I saw handicap 4 player who hits the ball like a sick ugly duckling and a 18-er with beautiful swing and three putts, handicap <> technique often do not correlate each other. tongt
I think it is a good club and easy to play with. I have a set and it is still in my bag. If you don't mind about the price then go for it.
+TourSpecGolfer
If your game isnt in the same league as the type of irons your hitting chances are greater that you will not be as happy and end up selling them. Dont make the game any harder than it should be for you and if its your first import purchase i sugest other forged cavity backs. I have owned the TW901 in standard specs, built them to my specs, and tested them against other sets its imo not for the mid handicap player. Duffer19
Most people in this forum are serious golfers and honestly quite crazy about the game and their equipments. If you want to lower your handicap (most serious golfers do), you should definitely consider listening to Chris. I went to Victoria Golf in Tokyo yesterday and came out with just a hat and a pair of winter gloves. Those pro drivers and irons look so nice but I have been playing golf for 30 years (countless set of clubs) and know it would be just a waste of money and absolutely no help to my game. I am at the age that my handicap (from a 12 to 15 in 2006) is only heading in one direction and I am just trying to get as much help as possible (equipment wise) to slow down the process. If dont agree with the other 2 posters that you should not ask or listen to opinions. This is the main reason to join this forum as most posters are very experience in imported clubs. As for Honma, do you know that China is probably the bigest market (besides Japan) for them and most buyers there could play for S***. It is just money and show. Vincenti
Don't take it too literally guys. I agree, every opinion from this forum is worth to read (So I read these as well), but the end decision is still on our hand. We are the only one who knows whether a gear will be suitable for us or not. A guy from photographic world (kenrockwell.com) has a beautiful classification of users which I think also applicable too golfers. 1. The one who are sticked to the equipment and make thousands of analysis about gears and keep buying new and the latest ones 2. The other who enjoyed the game as it is and using the gear as a tool or even make a living from it And ironically the first group are usually not professionals or scratchers but doctors, CEOs, businessmen who can afford gears he he he ... dentali
Hello! I'm student from Georgia. I live here for six months and never had troubles with my health. Last week my girlfriend came from Georgia to stay for a while. Yesterday she felt strong toothache. We went to the dentist. He said she needs beverly dental hills implant, because her 3 natural teeth were removed last year. When natural teeth are removed, many problems occur. I have five artificial teeth and know what is it. What is the difference between artificial teeth and dental implant problem? I've read that dental implant problem procedures give people a second chance for their teeth. I want to know more about it. I've found many sites about lowest price dental implant, but my english not such well to translate it :( I know implants are very expensive. We are poor students. May be you know some free-of-charge clinic or something like that? May be it would be better and cheaper to get dental implant in Georgia. It is very insulting situation. My girlfriend Sofia was going to visit theatres, cinemas, exhibitions, sights... Now she is lying with the toothache. And we have to choose: entertainments or beverly dental hills implant :( Please advise me something!

Unfortunately I belong to the first group who I believe make the second possible. If you like the Honma buy it and enjoy it. I did too and have been pleased with the brand. The balance is perfect, the feel is nice and buttery, the distance is good and the resale value is high. Just enjoy life the way you like it and can afford it.
