I was told that it measured at 255 cpm at the shop in the area. Hopefully someone can confirm.

Phillip Alexander
Guys the manufacturers indication of shaft flex, generally speaking is inaccurate. Whilst I acknowledge there area lot of other properties of a shaft to be considered, flex is determined by CPM. Callaway in the old days, wrote a flex stiffer on their shafts. People raved about how good they were. Simply Ely had matched the shaft flex to what (ego aside) people really needed.......smart man!!! taipanli
If you're interested in getting this, you better make up your ming quick. All sold out in Japan bar one or two shops. Might find them on Japan auction sites but I would assume at a noticeable premium to list price. I saw it in Victoria Golf Shinjuku but couldn't decide then and there whether I wanted it. Great looking club and the shaft didn't feel too stiff on the waggle.

Blader-X
Very nice. However, I feel TourStage is very much like Titleist in that they don't do customization much if at all. Producing such a limited number of drivers like this just doesn't make much sense to me either. If its a great product why not make more to satisfy the customers and why not make their other clubs available with more options to fit their customers. One size fits all doesn't work well in the golf community. I'm very much into my TourStage irons and would love to pick up the new X-Blades for '07 but won't just because I can't get them to my specs w/out dropping too much coin. Beautiful clubs, though. TourStage, in particular X-Drive, actually have customization (shafts and grip) but only for the Japanese market. I picked up a copy of their X-drive customization 2006 catalogue while I was in Japan in Oct. Actually most JDM , i.e. TS, Miz, XXIO and some minor brands have customization but mainly for woods. The Dunlop one is 20 pages long.
siteseer2
The customization comes in the different models and shafts to choose from... TS has five, count em five, different models of X-Drive... Thats more options than anyone...additionally they a pretty good selection of shaft upgrades. +TourSpecGolfer
They dont offer any shaft or grip options on the 460P do they? They dont even advertise that model. I understand its only the retail versions that have the options and not very good ones at that. If you guys neeeed a certain spec i can order it from the tourstage pro support but it costs me full retail plus tax and takes forever. Not a very good idea IMO. I'm talking more about face angles, lengths of shaft, loft and lies. Also when it comes to their irons very few shaft options. For instance the new X-Blades come in S200 only. Also you can't order any special length or lie angle you want. Sure, TourSpecGolf can do all the custimaztion now, which is great, but what I'm talking about is coming from the factory. Don't get me wrong, I love their product. But having gone through this before when I ordered my current X-blades, I had add length myself and then changed to the shaft I really wanted which was not originally offered by them. This current X-Drive Driver in this post is right up my alley but it only comes in one shaft option and only 1000 were made. Very limited options. Duffer19
Perhaps that the reason they call the 460p 'Limited Edition.' I always see TS as mass market retail which I think,is the case of its Japanese market. It is difficult and probably would not make economic sense for TS/Bridgestone to do full customization to serve a very small segment of the market. I believe that the majority of TS/Bridgestone productions are off shore anyway which also makes customization difficult. If you guys are old enough (like me), you probably remember Kenneth Smith of Kansas City (club maker to the stars) that would offer full customization on all their clubs. I still remember that my father got fitted for a set of KS persimmon woods 30 years ago that would cost 2 to 3 times more than off the rack clubs. Of course KS is gone now being not able to compete in the market place. Edited February 5, 2007 by Duffer19

bruinduke
Does anyone that bought the 460P from TSG or elsewhere have any feedback after hitting the 460P? A local shop has one new in wrapper that's being kept out of the show room inventory, and I want to know whether it's worth picking up. It's almost hypnotic seeing such a good looking driver, but without hitting it at the range don't know what kind of fit it would be for my mid handicap swing. Put it to you this way, its a limited edition with only a few made so even if it doesn't suit your swing you could always resell it at a later time. The one thing about the driver to keep in mind is that its designed to be fade bias.

If you are really a mid handicapper like me (15), perhaps we should be considering the ViQ instead as the X-Drive is not a forgiving driver.
