They do make the original and a lower torque version of the Altus Edited March 13, 2007 by yourpressed
Goshinboku
Chris, was merely wondering what you had access to, thats all. If I do infact get one, and at your prices, people would be crazy to not buy one from you. The altus LT is the one that intriques me. It is tour only I believe, but then again so is the F7M2. Some on here may prefer the lower torque?
+TourSpecGolfer
Im doing my best to get some of the Japanese golf magazines to begin testing the Ozik Shaft. Took a few up to the Tokyo Golf Show and many people were quite impressed.

hudson77
What golfer profile does the F7M2 fit? For your information, I will add up some comments on this. I'm using code 6 and Candy red apple(prototype). The candy red apple(proto type) is the developed version from original F7M2. As per the word from Matrix, F7M2 is the lowest spin version having the same profile of altus. Comparing code6, original altus and F7M2 in terms of ball flight and spin rate, F7M2 shows evident low ball flight and trajectory. But the fell at impact is very soft in comparison with code 6. The soft fell results from "Zyron". I hope this helpful for your question.
Pleasedwith3putts
Not sure at all on that one, i would have to check. Do you want that one? What is the spec on the LT pls and which feels stiffer and launches higher out of that and the X-con 6. Pls confirm availability and pricing on the LT
Mjr. D
What golfer profile does the F7M2 fit? Ya, i'm wondering that too. This is all driving me nuts. I need to make some shaft decisions and soon. I just bought a J33R 8.5 Bridgestone driver today. It came with a Aldila Proto shaft. I wanted to snap the shaft over my leg on most holes. Piece of crap in my opinion. I hit one good drive.......Par 4 - 362 to the green........i stuck it in the greenside bunker. All my other drives were slices. The head was very solid and satisfying though.........a great "thunk" sound! Good distance with low spin too! Shaft i just hate though. Under Tokyo Golf Show, Chris said something about Axiv and Accra shafts. Santa, can you check that out and let me know what u think he's saying? I take it that he's saying Accra is more suited for a faster swinger where Axiv is for a slower swinger.....but not slow. Also, does a high slice indicate that my shaft can't catch up to my hands? Zerohandy stated the F7M2 is a low spin, low trajectory shaft but with a soft feeling tip. What exactly should one gather from that? Thanks man! I gotta get this narrowed down here. I'm thinking J33 8.5 with either Accra SE80 M5 or F7M2 XX stiff, or Graphite Design Tour AD i-65 or one of the Axiv or Roddio. I don't think i'm going white board Diamana..........hear great things and i have a Diamana, but think it's suited for a more smooth like swing. I torque the living hell out of shafts. Buying a Technity 460 (this is all if you care by the way........this is me rambling now.....haha) with one of those shafts mentioned above too. I guess i'll try the .5 open face too.............hope it's a good decision. And i guess i'll try the 13 degree Technity with Lord knows what shaft. For my Hybrid, i'm thinking of going with the Speeder 904 Hybrid (100g, 1.9 torque, 32 tip). Comments welcome.......anyone. Alright, i'm done. Baha. Post your info on TourSpecGirl's different shaft fitting/reccomendation sites and see what she comes up with for you. There's one for Axiv, one for Ozik and one for Diamana. Its one more way to get some info. Definitely do this!! In regards to Axiv and Accra, even though the companies are the same the technology used in the shafts are different. JDM equipment is IMO by far better than anything you can get domestic. So much more feel. However, not sure if JDM equipment would fit your swing since you so fast. But it might. I'm not knowledgable enough to know for sure. In utilities, I've hit the Speeder 904 and like it but I find the GD UT-85 far superior. They also make a UT-95. I would reccomend that shaft in X-stiff to you. Lastly in regards to your driver, it sounds like you want a shaft that you can go at harder and that your best results come when you swing at 70-80%. Let me bold here and say that swinging at 70-80% is exactly what the pros do and what all of us should be shooting for. Trying to swing at 95-100% is fun, but its only going to lead to problems because at that speed its too hard to control the club. Golf is different from other sports in that its not reactionary. Its stationary. One should try to make as efficient a swing as possible to hit the sweetspot of the club every time. This is what leads to length and accuracy. I don't think you'll find a shaft that will let you go "full out" and still give you pinpoint accuracy and control. Also, your very blessed with size, strength and speed. Anyone who can put it in a greenside bunker 362 yards off the tee is hitting the ball far enough. I hit that length but only when playing downwind on hard/firm courses in the desert. When I play locally near the coast its a completely different story. So I ask you, are you looking to lower your scores or just simply to have fun regardless of the score and bomb it like the guys in the long driver contests. If its for score, find a good stiff shaft with heavy weight. It will "slow" you down (so to speak) so you'll make a better, more accurate swing that will still be plenty long. Good luck and definetly post to TourSpecGirl's posts and see what she comes up with. You could also PM TourSpecGolfer (Chris) with your specs and see what he might suggest.
