Golds Factory : Create SS304 insert to Rival Premium Zone!

Recommended Posts

premiunzone.jpg

Per my suggestion and due to the premium zone's feel and performance being so amazing I have asked Sasaya San to create or attempt to duplicate that same SS304 soft forward roll face insert.

He has taken on the task doing Auto CAD on his own and paying tooling and prototype costs out of pocket. TSG member iDrive will be the first customer in the world to own this new insert.

The depth a diameter of a milling is by 3 millimeters of circularity and every 1.5 millimeters it mill's 0.14 millimeters per stroke.

I'm excited and cant wait. For now look at another TSG members Golds Factory Masterpiece:

I've been following Sasaya san's blog over the last few months... amazing stuff... lots of gorgeous putters for TSG members. He's excited about the insert he's working on for his "foreign customers" (I guess that's us!) ^^ and tells everyone to look forward to the finished product!

If Sasaya-san could pull this off, that might be the only thing to force me to try and attempt to replace the Premium Zone. I'm sure we will all be very interested observers on this topic over the next few months.

anyone know the typical turn around time for a Gold's putter? I am thinking of ordering one

Three to four months, maybe more depending upon how many orders Sasaya-san is working on. Here, check out this previous post for all the info you need.

soooooo...

I'm just a little bit excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been Playing with the Premium Zone Putters and absolutely love the roll.

But.. there is something about the setup of the Golds Putter that I love that makes me want to Putt with it even more than the G-field.

Putting these two together is going to quite special.

I can't wait.

Pics and Feedback as soon as I get the Putter.

Once again, Thanks Chris for the ability to Communicate with Sasaya San and being able to pull this off. Truly amazing when you think about it.

Takes about 1-2 months on average. It depends on what or how many custom options you decide to request. Im sure you have seen the list, it gets long :atsg_logo_anim:

I don't suppose there is a mallet style with a goose neck hosel?

Im sure it can be a welded hosel but cost you a small fortune.

Can you get Japanese characters put on the putter, or maybe a person's mon?

Sasaya doesnt do Kanji characters, but I do have a U.S engraver who can put just about any thing you want. Even a ComoCome Character. So its a pain but we would have Sasaya build the putter raw send it to my engraver then return to Japan for the finishing touches.

Hey also whats very cool is customers can actually purchase a Golds Putter then if they want it upgraded over time send it in for options and a tune job. This keeps you happy with your putter longer and it actually grows in value over time as you do more to it.

Outstanding info to know.

Thanks Chris for the info... good to know. The last thing I want to do is cause headaches for you.

Just received an e-mail with the tracking #.

The Putter should be here Friday, Saturday at the latest.

I didn't think I would be seeing it for at least 2 more weeks.

The Putter is here.... I'm out in the back yard Putting... headed for the Golf Course later.

Stunning, the Putter has turned out even better than I had hoped. Full review with pictures later.

Holding the Putter has me feeling the sensation of being honored just to hold it let alone play with it.
