dragon
Curious what length driver that the TSG club members are using especially when they reshaft with Japanese premium shaft such as AXIV and Roddio and so on. What is the ideal total club length measure from bottom of the club head to the tip of the handle for you. I am currently experimenting with various drive length from 44.5 to 46 inches to maximize distance while still being able to keep in play. Also curious what the swing weight of your club is at that length.
Phillip Alexander
Mines 44.5. The right length for me so far as distance and accuracy is concerned.
+TourSpecGolfer
44.25" im 5'10" tall. IMO a longer driver will reduce the chances of hitting the ball on the screws thus reducing distance.

Also curious what the swing weight of your club is at that length. I've found that I can't hit the sweetspot consistently with drivers longer than 45". I usually play my driver at 44.5" or maybe 44.75". Regarding SW I like my driver at D3.
idrive
How are you measuring the length??? Where is the start point??
mramage
I am 6'4" and I like it a about 46". More because I like to feel the longer shaft kicking nicely then anything else. I don't find an extra inch really effects how pure I hit the ball.
Barry_757
I play my driver at 44.5 and will probably go to 44.25 on the next driver i buy. I can hit the sweet spot very consistently with shorter lengths. I have actually picked up distance because I can drive the clubhead thru the ball and turn it over easier. I've always measured the club from the sole where it contacts the ground at address, up to 1/8" from the end of the grip cap . idrive
Chris, I'm curious.. when installing a shaft, what length does Tourspecgolf make the Driver if the buyer does not request a specific length?
Phillip Alexander
Chris, I'm curious.. when installing a shaft, what length does Tourspecgolf make the Driver if the buyer does not request a specific length? I would assume Chris would ask. That said most of the members are so pendantic (myself included) about their equipment it is probably not an issue. I believe however a standard length driver today is 45"....but then again what qualifies as standard??
Blader-X
The Epon/AxivV combo I had was 45.75" and I just loved it. When I went with the Roddio, in order to achieve the same CPM's with a little more, Chris had to cut it down to 45". Feels great but haven't been able to take it out on the course yet. Let you all know when I do and how the results are.
