Thanks for the pics D,

Your the only guy i know who owns both of these amazing drivers.

IMO the 430P looking down at is the #1 best top view setup ever.

If you got the XD as a head only on ebay, its a defect.

Many people are buying these up now, we have had tons reach us and many are 2-8 grams lighter than the stuff that comes from Tourstage direct.

Really, interesting as the ones I have seen are in the 202-205g range.

202-205 is perfect and I see the authorized heads coming in at that weight.

Phew........ :)

I have obtained some off eBay as heads and whole clubs as well. Some from Hawaii and Japan. Actually cracked a face on one, but thats just how it goes sometimes.

I am really looking forward to your test review X-430 with Xcon. I have 430p with quattro tech65 but thinking of changing the shaft into code 6... Your review will be great for me to determine.

Thanks

Got some questions. :tsg_smiley_question:

1. What's the difference between the version with "P" and without?

2. Which one in the pictures is the 430P? Is it the one with the full score line or the other? Is the yellow one the 430P? I'm very interested in a 430cc TS driver to replace my XD 405.

1. The P has a more pear shape and also features a fade bias. the 460P has more of a fade bias than the 430P.

2. full score lines is the 430P

Someone in B/S/T claims that only 1000 of 460P were made. Are the P-versions a limited edition or something?

BTW, I love fade-based drivers cause I'm hitting a little too much draw with my XD 405. I'm also hitting this driver too high with stock stiff GD shaft at 9.5*.

So I need a driver that hits a little lower (I don't mind a 8.5*) with a little more fade bias.

Which one should I go with???

2007 X-Drive's come in the following flavours: 460, 430, 430P & 410

The 460P is a limited edition with X flex (1000 made only).

TSP is right on: 460P is more fade bias, while the other 2007 X-Drive's are more draw bias.

But 430p is also fade bias driver. I am in the test to accustomed to it. The shape is also very sexy in compare with the old versions. If someone have strong preference to fade bias driver, I strongly recommend 430p. But the shaft should be QUATTRO TECH 65 or 75.

Yoy won't be disappointed with your choice.

  • 5 weeks later...

what makes the club a defecT? thanks

Just bought one of ebay...but was with a shaft so can't measure head weight, there is a slight blemish on the tourstage logo on the sole and another where the sole and blakc paint meet by the conforming note - jsut hit it and it feels a mazing
