FE99.9 is the most expensive material to produce irons or wedges in. Its amazing!

to answer your question, no it isnt. the whole reason behind C6.5 on the lob, is maru used his dad's cut down wedge when he was young, and just got used to the feel so as he came up through the ranks just stuck with it.

now another thing to keep in mind is that these are about an inch shorter than us standard so with a reshaft of say dg-s400 and a proper length d2 or d3 for both is easily attainable

the length is half an inch shorter than US standard, but at US lengths the 59 will play about d0 and the 53 will play at d3 ......hmmmm that doesnt sound too bad !!!! PM sent
