BigEasy
This is one of the most beautiful putters I've ever seen. It is a GD Proto from a JPGA tour player. I bought it here from Chris. Comes with black GD grip and a black/red GD putter cover. Head weight is about 360g. Pictures don't do justice as they were taken inside in a haste. Looking to get $375 shipped. Spoon
is this the same head as the m2+ minus the premium zone insert?
BigEasy
is this the same head as the m2+ minus the premium zone insert? The head shape is very similar but this one "looks" more compact and has no model name or anything. The head feels significantly heavier. I'm so sad for the fact that I have to sell this beauty in order to get a new driver. I never thought I would sell this putter.
taipanli
How would you compare the feel of this putter to the M2+ with insert? Edited July 4, 2007 by taipanli
BigEasy
How would you compare the feel of this putter to the M2+ with insert? The feel is definitely more crispy. It's not one of the "soft" feeling putters. It feels more like Scotty Pro Platinum putters, especially the Del Mar 3.5. I personally like crispy feeling putters and never liked any of those insert putters. Hope it helps. Will ship it express to Hong Kong without additional shipping. The Del Mar 3.5 has been my favourite head shape and I've owned many, including the Pro Platinum, the Sergio Garcia, a custom 3XB, and one I still have which is a CT SSS 3XB 350g. I actually thought the Pro Platinum was pretty soft. I'll be in Tokyo in 3 weeks and if I don't find a putter there, I'll most likely take this one (assuming it's still on the block). Spoon
i would have considered but i myself love to soft touch. i could never get comfy with a crisp putt
BigEasy
Don't get me wrong. I was saying this Proto putter is as soft (or crispy) as the Pro Platinum Del Mar 3.5. Since PP Del Mar 3.5 is my #1 favorite retail putter, it's always my reference point in judging another putter. But I consider any Pro Platinums to feel "crisp," compared to the older Oil Can Scotties. This Proto GD putter is at least as soft as the Del Mar 3.5. but much more solid because its head weight. jacksonlui
are the holes in the back removed to distribute the weight? looks cool but would wonder if they are hard to clean.
BigEasy
OK, I've received some lower offers but $350 shipped would probably be the lowest I could go. Help me recover the funds I paid for my new driver!!! Help my poor old Del Mar 3.5 see the course again!!!
BigEasy
are the holes in the back removed to distribute the weight? looks cool but would wonder if they are hard to clean. I do not know whether the holes were removed for weight purposes. Maybe Chris can answer. You're probably right though because the wholes go almost all the way to the putter face (all the cotton part of the swab can be hidden in the hole), which means quite a bit of weight was removed from the center of the putter. It is very easy to clean the holes. You just need a couple of cotton swabs! Take the look at the picture below. This picture was taken outside this time, so you can judge the color and condition of the putter better. It's very clean and near mint.
