I've recently replaced my stock putter shaft with a UST filter and I'm disspointed on the way it sounds. It sounds really tinny or metallic and I feel like I've lost some feel. Has anyone else experience the same thing?

I'm not a fan of the UST filtered shaft. I prefer a good old steel shaft with some good weight like the Nippon putter shafts. I think most steel shafts can do the job, it's a question finding the right weight for you and matching it to your head with the right swingweight.

I agree. I put one of these on my Del Mar 3.5 and I just can't get used to the feel. I changed back to the standard steel shaft after a couple of rounds. Very disappointed due to the high cost of the shaft.

I haven't experimented with high end putter shafts. I'm not sure how much they could really help when the swing of a putter is so short and slow when compared to all other types of golf swings. I've been more than satisfied with the Nippon shafts in the G-Fields.

Try having your putter counterbalanced with certified balance weights or similar products. The initial changes made your putter light in overall weight and swing weight.
